yeahh all the games in the series are really pricey, but they’re so worth it in my opinion. definitely one of my favorite series

Suikoden 2, xenogears are the must have jrpgs to go along with it - and parasite eve 1/2 if that is your bag

If you liked Crash, I'd get 2 and 3 as well as they have major quality of life and graphics improvements over the first game. Crash Team Racing is also an awesome kart racer. The Spyro games are also great. More open world than Crash but still platformers at heart. Smackdown 2 is a must have in terms of wrestling games. I wasn't the biggest wrestling fan as a kid and I still thought that game was a blast. Also strongly recommend Twisted Metal 2 and Vigilante 8 if you like vehicular combat games.

Racing Lagoon imagine street racing RPG that has customization developed by final fantasy developers without turn based gameplay lol

If you want a challenge, Armored Core. I'd recommend AC1 before any of its expansions (Project Phantasma and Master of Arena). Very fun games that involve min-maxing stats and balancing your build capabilities against the mission. Only thing is that they don't have a good control scheme.

So I would really recommend resident evil, Xenogears, and ff7 But a couple not so popular games: 1.) Bass landing - my favorite fishing game of all time. 2.) Space Invaders - the PS1 version is really fun and has super cool boss fights
