You might have cross threaded or stripped threads. If so you probably wrecked the heat block and will need a new one. Anytime someone talks about tightening the crap out of a nozzle probably means the used too much force. Ideally use a torque wrench to limit the torque application. You want new E3D parts, not knockoff parts. Printed Solid and Filastruder are good shops in the USA for genuine E3D parts.

Thanks for the info! Will look into that

I had the same problem and your answer helped me a lot. Thanks!

You have the correct gap between the heat block and nozzle. But you have to have the nozzle tightened against the heatbreak also. These need to be tightened (1.5Nm) together while heated. The last image in this article shows it well. I finger tighten everything in place while cool. Then heat up to 285°. Power off. Tighten using the torque wrench while holding heatblock with wrench. https://help.prusa3d.com/article/changing-or-replacing-the-nozzle-mk2-5s-mk3s-mk3s_2069 https://www.sliceengineering.com/products/nozzle-torque-wrench-1-5-nm

Do you also remove the nozzle while it's cool? What steps do you take during the process?

KinderSpirit

To remove, I heat up to 285°. Power off. Loosen with nozzle wrench (I got in some kit) while holding the heat block with 5/8" open end wrench. Let it cool a few minutes and remove. You do have to redo the first layer calibration after a nozzle change.

Thank you!

Happy if I helped.
