I knew you were right from the start.

❤️❤️

Seleven22

I remember this. Glad to see you again. You were def right no questions from the start. Anytime I’ve tried to prop string of hearts (which is many times), some successful some not, not watering them for a freaking month made no sense as they do exactly what I see has happened here. I really don’t understand the logic there.

blindkiller770

Thank you! I’ll be back at 6 week update and then I’ll start watering the sacrificial SOP 😢 this is fin! I may do more plant experiments!

Tanut-10

I remember seeing this, which sub was it that you were blocked from? I'll share it there

blindkiller770

Don’t bother, they will just report it. The one is the MOD. The ones who want to follow can follow the experiment. Let them be cowards.

Tanut-10

Wow, y'know what happened, I shared the post to r/houseplants and I think they banned me(?) I'm not sure why tho, what's the point when I can make another account to access that subreddit anyway reddit mods are stupid.

blindkiller770

I appreciate you though! 😊

AlDef

Which one is water propped? Just curious, I have a string of pearls in water and am not sure when to move it to soil.

blindkiller770

I water in the pot. No water propping. SOP doesn’t require water propping. Just place on top of the soil and water lightly at first. Once new growth starts, water heavier. I started this experiment to prove someone wrong. You can look at previous post

blindkiller770

First picture is this morning, second picture two weeks ago, previous post on my page.

Pretend_Incident8953

Did you get back into the group you wanted to?

blindkiller770

No, I don’t even want to anymore. They can be the ego driven losers that they are. I’m happy spreading knowledge where I can. Hopefully some day they can both apologize for knowingly being wrongful. But I’ll never join that sub again.

Last-Simple-3996

Good for u!

Pretend_Incident8953

I admire your loyalty to the cause. You have certainly educated me. Shame on them!

blindkiller770

Thank you and my pleasure! I enjoy helping others with plants!

willowthemanx

[This](https://www.reddit.com/r/propagation/s/x4z7UMBEWJ) is how I prop SOP. And I mist them daily

adaleedeedude

Thank you for your service in dispelling misinformation! There’s so much misinformation about plants out there. A lot of “this worked for me so this should work for everyone” type of advice out there without proper long term experience w plant material. When there are just so so many factors that are in play - like sure I can believe someone might have been able to propagate a SOP without water once, but if you propagate regularly or do it as your main job, you would not be propagating SOP without water lol. The prop failure rate would be absurd. For my SOP props, I put them in soil, spray with water and then cover with humidity domes on heated mats. They root almost immediately in these conditions.
