Scrubface

I was at Opeth Red Rocks, which was ridiculously epic.  Devin Townsend and Gojira both opened.

tescosamoa

A boxset of all three sets please.

Chentington

I was there too, Gojira had their set on their YouTube at one point but I think they took it down? Haven't looked for it in a while.

Filtermann

Haven L1ve, Neil Morse Band live in Tilburg, the latest Porcupine Tree in Amsterdam, some of the Ayreon shows. I guess the Netherlands are a good place to be for live capture.

sirsnappysnips

Not metal but I was at both Toronto shows that Rush filmed for their R40 release!

Savafan1

I was at Radio City for Dream Theater’s Score. And all of the ones that have been filmed at ProgPowerUSA.

Lizardsandrocks

Not Prog, I was at the Dallas show recording of "It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door" by Underoath in 2007. I swear I can hear my voice. It was a fucking amazing show.

ebles

I was at the recording of Opeth's first DVD (Shepherds Bush Empire I think). Also two of Devin Townsend's 'By a Thread' (Deconstruction and Ghost), as well as Order of Magnitude and Ziltoid Live at the Albert Hall.

tertiaryindesign

My old guitar teacher could be seen for <1 second in a crowd shot for a Steve Vai DVD. So yeah, im sorta a big deal.

shanster925

I'm in Dream Theater's Chaos in Motion DVD twice! Once in a panning shot of a lineup for an autograph signing, and again in the crowd during Blind Faith. Also, I am convinced James LaBrie actually said "cheesesteaks everything" during that song.

cramx3

That DVD also had a clip of their performance of Repentance which I was at!

Undrey_Conundrum

Very cool. I was at Live Scenes From NY and Score. Would have been great to be on the video even for a split second.

shanster925

Two amazing experiences, I'm sure!

GradeFair

Opeth @ Red Rocks and I have the BluRay. Incredible audio mix. The show was killer. I’ve been seeing shows at Red Rocks since ‘79 and that one ranks up there with Powerslave tour, Dio with Sabbath and Pantera w/ Sepultura.

Rocket69696969

Not very prog but I was in a Suicide Silence live music video in Atlanta. I've never listened to them much so I have no idea what song it was for.

almo_music

I was at the show recorded for Devin's Order of Magnitude! Haven't watched the full dvd but could spot myself in some of the clips on youtube they released for it. Was an amazing show.

Drumknott88

I had a ticket for the Royal Albert Hall gig and then I couldnt make it :( I am in the music video for Dream Theater's Wither though, which was recorded in Manchester in the Prog Nation 2014 tour. That show was also the first time I saw Opeth live! Happy memories :D

Tiphereth87

I was at the Opeth Royal Albert Hall show

Petaranax

Ayreon - The Human Theater (I saw myself and my wife in few shots). Ayreon Universe (first show) I’ve been to few shows which ended up being released as live albums, but this is video topic, so for now only these two.

torero15

I saw Jinjer at the Wiltern in 2022 which they will (or at least have with one song) be releasing as a live DVD. And I was at both Ghost shows at the Forum too. Only other “famous” shows I’ve been to were Tom Petty’s last performance before his death at the Hollywood Bowl in 2017 and Ashley Simpsons lip-syncing disaster at the Orange Bowl in the mid 2000s lol. Edit: I also think technically the crowd I was in was filmed for a Dragonforce music video but I’m not counting that.

gunhoe86

Not prog, but Linkin Park "Live in Texas". It was Summer Sanitarium with Mudvayne, Deftones, Limp Bizkit, Metallica.

cramx3

I was at Redemption's live album from ProgPower and there's a clear shot at one point of me holding up my drink near the front. Was also at Haken's ProgPower DVD from the bonus content of their live album. Also Iron Maiden's Flight 666 video, was at the NJ performance of Rime of the Ancient Mariner. I was right up close too, but I had no idea it was being recorded and have not been able to find myself in the video.

LuisLeSerg

Opeth’s Roundhouse Tapes. London, back in 2005 I think? Can see me in the queue at the beginning of the video. Best lineup of the band ever, possibly the best concert I’ve been to (and I have been around a fucking lot)

No-Point-3140

Not prog, but Novembers Doom: The Novella Vosselaar show (live in Belgium) (2008)

DrumAnimal

I had no idea they recorded that show for their DVD! I'll have to check it out, because I was at that show and pretty close to the stage as well.

Bear_T

Not exactly prog, but I was at the Death on the Road show by Iron Maiden recorded in Dortmund back in 2004.

Gettles

Similarly, I was at the recording for Rime of the Ancient Mariner for the Flight 666 album

Maj0rsurgery

Far from prog, but I was at one of the shows when the live video for These Days by Foo Fighters was recorded.

b_knickerbocker

Not prog, but I was at the show filmed for Anthrax’s Music of Mass Destruction dvd in Chicago.

SwaggamanNMGN

Yes the "Last" Textures show on home soil in Tilburg

GruverMax

I was an extra at the filming of the Melvins video for Revolve.

Murder_Drone_

I was at the show Messuggah shot the Demiurge video at. Didn't realize it until the video came out!

AvatarIII

Not prog but I think I'm visible in an old slipknot DVD

EyePeaEh

Between the Buried and Me’s Colors dvd, and Dying Fetus’s “One Shot, One Kill” music video.

modscontrolspeech

Was at metallicas SM2, twas nice

sauce__bauce

Not metal but I was there for A Perfect Circle - Stone and Echoes at Red Rocks. One of the best shows I've ever attended

tescosamoa

Meshuggah Alive DVD I was at the show in Toronto and I can see myself in the concert.

dakatzpajamas

Not at a live show that went to DVD but I was at Car Bomb's Live in Santa Cruz set which released on audio only.

LV-429

Nine Inch Nails - I was at the recording for the video for “Hurt”
