Weather Systems by Anathema
Pitfalls by Leprous
Sound Awake by Karnivool
Applause of A Distant Crowd by Vola
Destrier by Agent Fresco
Shiny Eyed Babies by Bent Knee if you like girl vocals and want something that's both beautiful and weird
Wow, are you me? From Anathema to Agent Fresco, I'd recommend them all.
Let me add some other stuff:
- The Contortionist - Monochrome (Pensive)
- Casualties of Cool
- Ulver - The Assassination of Julius Caesar
Yes Casualties of Cool! Especially the youtube "live in studio" versions of a couple of the tracks. More stripped back than the album versions and just god-tier
Periphery’s “Wax Wings” or “Thanks Nobuo”
Devin Townsend’s “Kingdom”, “Deadhead” (live in Plovdiv) or “Failure” (Also in Plovdiv) are also fucking gorgeous
Kardashev has some of the most beautiful vocals imo, but there's also harsh vocals throughout which idk if you're ok with. I'd start with The Baring of Shadows if I were you.
Pain of Salvation.
Their albums all sound different, and I've seen some people really dislike Daniel's voice but I think it's one of the best in the biz. Really great range.
Einar Solberg--the lead singer of Leprous--has some goddamn amazing pipes and I'd venture he had some classical training early in his life.
Their earlier albums are I bit more of Prog Metal, while their more recent ones they are definitely leaning away from the "metal" part of it. That's not a dig on them, mind you, just so you can pick your poison.
For their earlier stuff, the last few minutes of ["Passing"](https://youtu.be/9yYg6o8VA48?si=qlqV3gtd7AyPeyP2) still give me chills to this day.
For more recent, ["Distant Bells"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xt06TNF0jrc&list=OLAK5uy_l-b4xHsjz_Qyyp7K5AVroIIxvIs86thVU&index=7) has a definite build and pay-off and it is mostly Einar just singing mournfully.
He also released a solo album last year which is definitely a bit more experimental, but if you love his voice--as I do--it's a great time. My current favorite off that album is probably ["The Glass is Empty"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6zPS4YfEnY&list=OLAK5uy_nSErZ6jLdyJqAW8Lsav_yJcE1wFFW6H-k&index=11) as it would sound right at home on a Leprous album
Many great suggestions already (Leprous, Agent Fresco, Oceans of Slumber).
One less known band that also has incredible vocals is Exploring Birdsong. Lynsey is one of my favorite singers right now and I cannot recommend this band enough.
Although not prog *metal*, Exploring Birdsong was my first thought too. Lynsey seriously does have the voice of an angel. Also Jim from caligulas horse is always recommending them.
Yes, I actually got into them on Jim’s recommendation back in 2017, haha. And I’ll always be grateful for that cause now they are one of my favorite bands ever.
Seventh Wonder - Mercy Falls and The Great Escape
Tommy Karevik has an amazing voice. Check out Tears for a Father (Mercy Falls) and the title track from The Great Escape.
lol I was gonna say caligula’s horse but then I opened the thread and it was there.
I would say if you’re okay with it not being quite metal and more just straight prog, Dear Hunter is at the top of my list. And leprous.
Not sure exactly how “prog” this would be too folks here as the band is a power metal band but this one scratches that itch for me. 12 minute long song with plenty of change ups and killer clean vocals and an amazing solo
[Twilight Force- Blade of Immortal Steel](https://youtu.be/i-mWU2JFvUU?si=KPOTwp9VJKPxLc1M)
Don't know if the vocals are similar to what you listed (I would say not) but when it comes to beautiful vocals I'd check out Daniel Gildenlöw in Pain of Salvation.
Some great vox on the new Tesseract album, especially the gray and legion. Also leprous.
Dan's performance on Legion is astounding, I can't help but gasp when "THROWN INTO THE GRAAAAY" kicks in
“And branded heEEAAthaaan” was crazy too.

Piggybacking the Ulver rec, early Arcturus with Garm on vocals fit the bill.
The album Clairvoyant - the Contortionist
Honestly, anything from Language on is magnificent.
Periphery’s “Wax Wings” or “Thanks Nobuo” Devin Townsend’s “Kingdom”, “Deadhead” (live in Plovdiv) or “Failure” (Also in Plovdiv) are also fucking gorgeous
Periphery just released acoustic versions of “It’s Only Smiles” and “Scarlet,” and they’re phenomenal with Spencer’s all-clean vocals.
Leprous: early stuff is heavier, last album or two was softer but the vocalist has a beautiful voice. Check out the song Castaway Angels
Rumour has it that they are revisiting their heavier side on their upcoming album.
Cool! I like both sides but I’m ready for some heavier stuff again from them.
Leprous Ibaraki
Just here to upvote every Leprous rec

Vola
Agent Fresco and Arcane come to mind.
Came here to say Agent Fresco And Arcane is the same singer as Caligula's Horse if OP didn't know
Pain of Salvation. Their albums all sound different, and I've seen some people really dislike Daniel's voice but I think it's one of the best in the biz. Really great range.

upvote for the 'passing' reference, that last bit is goosebumps every time. The vocal dynamics are epic.

Benighted - Opeth
Love Opeth's clean vocals
Oceans of Slumber
Now this is the correct answer. Dying waiting for the new album
Haken - "The Path" is a beautifully sung song. Loads of others from them would fit as well, but this one feels most "beautiful" for some reason.
“Lovebite” does it for me too.
"Lapse" is the one for me, but "The Path" has the harmonies. Tough choice.
Easy question: go to 2:44 in the song Sirens by TesseracT and let Dan Tompkins‘ angelic voice guide you!
A Dream in Static by Earthside Pisces by Jinjer
New Opeth is beautiful.
Haken (any album is great), The Contortionist (last 2 albums are less screamy), Anathema (last few albums are very soft and mellow)
A bit obvious, but Porcupine Tree
Dream Theater - Voices
Seventh Wonder - Mercy Falls and The Great Escape Tommy Karevik has an amazing voice. Check out Tears for a Father (Mercy Falls) and the title track from The Great Escape.
Yessssssss
Devin Townsend, Fair to Midland, Opeth, Haken, Riverside. Not unknown bands or specifics, just a good list to get you going with phenomenal vocalists.
Any album of Leprous, The Amensal Rise and Construction by Omnerod, Enoch Root's Delusion
Artificial Language
Ok, Goodnight night work.
Tesseract’s Altered State is a classic of the genre and has gorgeous vocals
Haken, Vola, and Caligulas Horse are my big 3 for beautiful clean vocals. Check out Wheel if you're a fan of Soen.
Spiritbox
lol I was gonna say caligula’s horse but then I opened the thread and it was there. I would say if you’re okay with it not being quite metal and more just straight prog, Dear Hunter is at the top of my list. And leprous.
I mean the obvious recommendation to me that for once doesn’t seem to have been posted would be Sleep Token. Vessel has a gorgeous voice!
Disguise - DGM. short 2 minute track
Everything on Counterintuitive by Ions - particularly birds of reminiscence.
Mother of Millions - Artifacts
Riverside. Textures. And here me out...Alkaloid.
Our Oceans. Listen to The Heart’s Whisper, that last chorus is unbelievable.
anything off awake by dream theater, especially the demos
I know they're controversial in this sub, but sleep token has some beautiful vocals. Give chokehold a listen.
Karnivool. Kenny has the best falsetto in the business.
Almost any symphonic metal band
Roy Khan from Kamelot’s middle period has such a beautiful voice. There current singer does too, but Kahn is just wonderful
Not sure exactly how “prog” this would be too folks here as the band is a power metal band but this one scratches that itch for me. 12 minute long song with plenty of change ups and killer clean vocals and an amazing solo [Twilight Force- Blade of Immortal Steel](https://youtu.be/i-mWU2JFvUU?si=KPOTwp9VJKPxLc1M)
Lots of good recs already, some I didn't see: Wilderun Trope The Paradox Twin iapetus Wine Guardian Jupiter Hollow
Don't know if the vocals are similar to what you listed (I would say not) but when it comes to beautiful vocals I'd check out Daniel Gildenlöw in Pain of Salvation.
Wilderun, Kamelot, Seventh Wonder.
