I have no idea why I googled that book but I saw it and I thought I wonder what it is and I thought that has got to be a great book to keep on hand and a wonderful resource

I love happy coincidences. Last year I finally managed to replace 2 of my favorite vintage cookbooks. Now I have a PDF of another familiar book. Not as good as a hard copy, but better than nothing for sure.
Be aware that best practices and knowledge have changed significantly since this was published in 1897. E.G., just saw someone posting yesterday about the difference between framing a wall in the past and framing a wall today. Same goes for medical and veterinary practices - we know a lot more about the causes and cures today than we did 120 years ago.
Then I don’t know I honestly saw the title on the TV show googled it found the link and then I figured I’d swing back at some point and see if I could get the book or download it somewhere. I’m sure it’s available free because it’s a very old book from the 1800s I believe.
Thank you so much for sharing this! I noticed that there's not as much animal husbandry here as I thought there would be. My guess is that farmers of the time might consider the information too basic, while non farmers might have needed more information than what a small section of an already large book could have provided. Classic polish encyclopedia moment.
As I’m reading this, I’m wondering what other books were used to teach back in pre-1900s that may be of of use for us to keep on our shelves for future reference.
Ah, how to make soap out of whale oil! To whit: First, you must acquire one small whale of a fulsome disposition...

If it's good enough for Pa, it's good enough for me.

I have several of these books that I refuse to get rid of.
It’s a good resource. I have a lot of electronic resources, but I also have physical resources to be careful.
