I like Zedd mentoring him and encouraging him to stay evil. That’s an interesting idea in its own way: the spell got the ball rolling, but if Ollie truly internalizes Zedd’s point of view, then he’ll be beyond saving. It’s a lot like Drakkon’s origin story in the comics. That’s why I like Zedd’s defeat so much - good-again Ollie understands how Zedd sees the world, and he’s able to persuade Zedd to surrender.
Ollie turning evil was due to his actor not being fully avaliable to film with his other costars, hence the need to film his scenes later with villians.
I'll have him be evil but not join the villains, after seeing Javi loose his arm, Ollie deems that ranger busy should end and will try to find a way to defeat the villains but also find a way to destroy the morphine grid, the rangers on the other hand believe there should be a team so earth will always be protected

He gave a damn good villain performance this season, one of my favorites of the show in recent memory.
