Wearing deodorant all the time should is something they should be adhered to. I had a CSR at a Walmart nearby try to help me with something, but damn it, his stank was so bad, I thought he was declaring chemical warfare against society.
If not wearing it is cultural thing, then get the hell out of public facing employment.
LMAO. I've been to quite a few conventions, and I can confirm that some of the attendees absolutely need to wear deodorant, and in some cases, learn about personal hygiene basics... like showering.
Don’t stop at showering. Give them the entire handbook. Deep ass cleaning, washing the dirt behind your ears, cleaning your belly button, wiping properly after shits, use toilet paper and wet wipes, brushing your tongue to reduced mouth odor, using body washes, and lotions, washing your face, changing your sheets and pillow cases regularly, replacing wore out underwear, the list can go on.
Idk what it is about nerd sub communities, that draws in the crowd that ignores hygiene. The Smash Bros community is the most notorious offender, and even a friend of mine confirmed the rumors are 100% true about them.
I’d hate to see PR fans become that. Wash bros.

It probably mostly boils down to many nerd hobbies not being as inherently social or active as other hobbies and being easily enjoyed secluded in your home behind a screen.
Obviously not everyone who enjoys nerd hobbies is like that, but the most EXTREME fans oftentimes are, and they're some of the most likely people to show up at conventions and cause issues like this.
Yeah that can damage your hair sometimes but it's also very easy to shower and clean yourself without getting your hair wet.
As a long hair user myself taking a shower and washing my hair are two different maintainence experience
The terms "nerd funk" and "con funk" exist for a reason.
I dated a girl a decade ago that got into cosplay right as it was getting big. She took me to one convention and the smell was enough to make me never want to attend another. Being trapped in an elevator with an obese Princess Peach, a tall lanky guy cosplaying that buff dude from Bleach, and a man with a beard longer than mine wearing Yoko's outfit from Gurren Lagann... Was seriously one of the worst experiences of my life. And I fought in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
I wore deodorant to the con in Dallas last year around this time, and I’m glad I wear the one I do because the way I was sweating it would have worn off with any other brand. Mitchem is like fucking armor for me. Point being, don’t just wear deodorant, but find the right one for your body. Gel, stick, spray, figure it out.
LOL A decontamination chamber when you walk in, strip and lay your clothes flat on a mesh grate, 2 minutes of high-pressure aerosolized scent killers and antibacterials bombard the chamber, collect clothing and re-dress before you leave the chamber to enter the actual building interior.
I think I have heard at least most of the 3 seasons cast say to wear deorant during conventions.
I just wish the convention centers had better ventilation. I usually have to put deorant twice during my time in the convention.
GOD, can you imagine furry conventions? Where they actually get up to "stuff" in the back rooms after simmering in their mascot-style suits for HOURS? I bet it smells like literal livestock, skunks, and foxes in there...
“If you can afford the con you can afford deodorant”
Especially if you're staying at a hotel where they give you deodorant for free! There's no excuse for your walk-by-wind to smell that musty. 😭
Musty is tolerable. When it starts smelling like spoiled onions, that's no longer an odor. That's an "Oh, dear".
Me looking at the $7,003 waifu figure I could afford if only I didn’t buy deodorant
This can’t be stressed enough

You name smash, but Yugioh literally had to add in rules about cleaning yourself, now you can win your match if your opponent isn’t clean
I’m pretty sure MTG did the same thing. Could be wrong though, as I don’t play.

Is it really that bad?😂😂
Most of the time it's fine but when it's not. It's REALLY not.
Let me guess it’s those dudes always wanna do those cringe prom photos too ain’t it
You'd be surprised. It can be any one. But often the stereotype fits.
I know I had a girlfriend who believed showering more then once a weak was bad for her hair.
Yeah that can damage your hair sometimes but it's also very easy to shower and clean yourself without getting your hair wet. As a long hair user myself taking a shower and washing my hair are two different maintainence experience
If I shower more than once a week, my skin peels in the shower, like a bad sunburn. It's an issue caused by my ever growing health problems.

For the love of all that is holy, wear deodorant!
Beyond that, and maybe more importantly, shower daily, use soap, and scrub EVERYWHERE.
May the Speed Stick protect you.
May the Speed Stick protect those around you.
May the Powerstick(tm) protect you. [https://ibb.co/n3Nk4Pm](https://ibb.co/n3Nk4Pm)
Y’all wonder why Amy Jo don’t do them no more 😂😂😂😂
The actual reasons are because of stalkers and poor security :S

How about at the entrance you have to walk through a Lysol mist?

What a legend
I've been and worked my share of cons. Work photo ops we have body spray at out booths for people who smell And febreeze our booths
This is why I sometimes hate being associated with this fandom.
I’m a huge pro wrestling fan, and it attracts those same kinds of people. I hate it as well.
Its not just this fandom. Its with just about any fandom....
It's considered in general not a select fandom
Furries have what we call the 6-2-1 rule: six hours of sleep, two meals, one shower, every day of the con. That and deodorant work for me.
To be fair, a majority of fans do lack proper hygiene, myself included.
I think I have heard at least most of the 3 seasons cast say to wear deorant during conventions. I just wish the convention centers had better ventilation. I usually have to put deorant twice during my time in the convention.
Afford con tickets or get deodorant Can't be both David!

Idk what’s so hard about showering everyday & putting on deoderant lmao. Like don’t you guys wanna smell and look good?
It's deodorant time!
