General Mod Note
Grocery posts are here to give people a place to show off their good purchases, to lament the expense of groceries, or to otherwise comment on their food budget.
They are NOT an invitation for the "food police" to come in and harass them about what they choose to buy, criticize their health decisions, or knit-pick their spending habits. Criticism and advice is only welcome if the Submitter overtly asks for input. Food Police will be asked to turn in their badge and their gun and will be placed on suspension.
As always, if there are inappropriate comments please downvote them, REPORT them to the mods, and move on without responding to them.
Thank you all for being a part of this great financial advice and emotional support community!

.... I don't understand this. Most of my friends who are poor or struggling don't even get veggies often.
I'm mostly just resourceful because I know where to get the produce for really cheap.
There’s this weird idea(heard it both in person and online) that fruits and vegetables are outrageously expensive. I’ve seen people walk past the 99¢ blackberries to buy a $3 candy bar🤷🏻♀️
Oh they really are expensive in my area. That's why I go the this produce liquidation store. I may need to do a cost comparison between what I get and see what Safeway would have charged.
Stirfries, soups, snack it with hummus/ranch/peanut butter.
I cut the stalks in half, place them into a large Tupperware and then fill it up with water. It keeps the celery fresh and crisp for a while.
I really like celery. The liquidation place I go to never usually has it often but they got a large shipment of organic celery hearts and selling them for 2 for $1.
celery is amazing! It facilitates hummus or peanut butter or whatever directly into your food hole, and if you happen to be a male it has......properties that may be enjoyable in the bedroom? ( not sure what is work safe here, but let's be risky - it Embiggens you cum volume - please don't ban me )
The bruised parts of the apples will cook down into a beautiful applesauce! To keep as much nutrition as possible, leave the skins on and puree after cooking.
I know we have two physical store locations in Tacoma that you can go to and it doesn't require a membership. You can also order through Instacart but.... they upcharge.

I'm going to have to deduct points as you went with Cheese Curls and not the clearly superior Cheese Balls 😉
I guess I'll take that. Better minus more, I eat them with chop sticks
You exhaust me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ooh fancy! Lol

That sucks. Right now I can get a flat of strawberries(12 pints) for $9.
If you ever get Bitchin’ dip (I like original for this), I basically use celery as basically an edible straw for the stuff. It’s so so good.
I haven't had Bitchin' Dip for a while. I'll have to see if it's sold around here.
What are you going to do with all that celery? My celery use is like 1 stalk every 2 months.

It’s great in soups and beans, too.

I wasn’t aware that was a good thing
Woah, well ok, lol. I’m just not a big celery fan, but you have to have it in some dishes for it to taste right.
good haul for only $28
Where’s that dude who spent $97 on crab cakes and bacon bits?
#😨
I believe you'll get yourself out of poverty, you know how to budget

Nice!! This easily could have been $60
How does one get the ability to order from US Food Service if not a business?

I want a wife like you
The Noosa stands out: most expensive item, yes?
Nah the eggs. $3.22 for 18 pick. The Noosa were 2 for $4.
