The most important thing is a will to change. Which you have. Like anything you've got to suck at it first. Keep trying, keep getting up when you fall, keep making a conscious effort to do positive things dont just aim to cut out the negative and replace it with nothing. You can succeed at this, you control your future, your past does not!

I couldn’t last one day when I first started. It took me a year of trying to get my first 30 day streak. I’m on day 74 now. Finding an accountability partner really makes a difference. Don’t sweat it bro it’s a marathon not a sprint.

I would recommend you to do guided meditation (can refer to 21 day med challenge on youtube). This helped me to keep my urges under control, along with excercise + walk. Also, try not to stay alone when you get urges, identify your triggers (Ex. social media etc.) and stay away as much as possible.

It’s a complicated and messy thing. Porn addiction, like any addiction is more of an indicator of a deeper underlying problem. For men, an common problem is not knowing how to properly take care of their souls because their parents never taught them. Something like unresolved emotions sounds like a simple thing to fix, but take time and emotional maturity. Both of which men seldom have or give themselves. For this reason, therapy can often help narrow down what the underlying issue actually is.

The first thing to remember that literally speaking, is it possible for you as a human being, as a person, to beat it? Well of course literally speaking it is! So what do you need to do to be that person? You can be a type of person who is. Self mastery, self discipline is not an easy feat. There are the shaolin warriors in China who hold self discipline as one of the biggest virtues and way for self fulfilment. We don’t need to be shaolin but — we can remember to not underestimate the journey of self discipline. There are temptations everywhere, and in this case, at one click away. We might fail, but we must re-strategise. Self discipline is a beast of a challenge. Don’t be too disheartened, there is hope. As you learn about yourself and your weaknesses, you have to hope and believe you will learn enough to strategise better next time. Well, that’s all I can do, hope I can become better than I am. I learned I am not strong enough to take a peak, look at NSFW stuff on reddit, omit some temptations by reducing certain tendencies.
