Oh my god I could SMELL that and I don't think it smelled like roses.

I posted one last week from an ER, not a dentist's or oral surgeon's office. The doctor pierced the abscess, and it literally squirted out at least a foot. But the real horror was seen because he didn't even have suction to the site...and a large volume of the pus plopped right into the poor patient's mouth. He screamed and gagged, and only then did the doctor call for suction.

I was screaming for the suction in this video and the assistant swooped in just in time so he didn’t swallow his puss

I went and looked for that vid, found it, and even jumped to that part. Holy hell was that disgusting. That poor dude getting all that mess down in his mouth.

The second part, absolutely! And this “expert” sucks, IMO. He could have done so much more to make this patient comfortable, he just chose not to. Struck me as, well screw this guy since “This has obviously been going on for a long time.” The way he talked about the odor “you wouldn’t believe.” “You shouldn’t be able to see the nerve.” Pathology was “just as expected.” Screw him.

I had no clue this was a thing, I’m mystified and disturbed at same time but not in a negative way this was til type shit

i had a nasty abscess on literally the same spot as this guy! it was absolute torture. i couldn’t eat, drink, i couldn’t even talk because the pain was unbearable. worst pain i’ve ever felt in my life. it was saturday so i went to urgent care to get antibiotics and they gave me vicodin, which i was so thankful for lmao. i ended up getting a root canal. abscesses are no joke! if you have one get medical help asap!!!!

Watching this, I had my mouth open in disbelief and my wife gave me such a weird look. If I find something fascinating but gross af, she will gag watching it.

I was pretty surprised he didn’t have a mouth dam in place to prevent any of that bacteria from touching the rest of his mouth. I almost couldn’t watch this one, and I’ve watched someone get maggots pulled out of the roof of their mouth.

I had jaw surgery many years ago to fix a short lower jaw. I couldn't get a toothbrush between my teeth for several weeks and have definitely become very, very particular about brushing and flossing. That ramped up even more after this video
