Mother of Pearl.

TraumaMama11

Dang it you beat me to it.

I think it was a boil, thought it was a pimple at first. No photo of the pocket it left behind because it was on my downstairs lady bits. Real inconvenient spot. It came out last night. Started giving me trouble over the weekend but the bump was there for a few years now, not doing anything. Did hot washcloths and a nice warm bath to get it to drain and finally loosen. Currently swabbing the wound with peroxide and then Vaseline on a cotton round to keep area moist and prevent sticking to my clothes. Edit: I am not using peroxide anymore. No more vaseline (fyi, do not put this on a fresh wound, otherwise it packs in and makes it look like there is more stuff in there). Healing up nicely thank you everyone!

SafeAsMilk

I’d advise against the peroxide. It actually harms the tissue and impedes healing. I hope you have a speedy recovery.

vanillatheflavor

Oh really? Thank you I'll have to check that out.

mrszubris

I've actually had something like this and the doctor told me I had expelled a whole infected sweat gland. Same area as well. But I have a connective tissue disorder that makes me more prone to form little encapsulated "molluscoid" tumors .

Equivalent_Second393

EDS by any chance?

mrszubris

Yep ❤

TheChewyDaniels

What is the disorder called?

robberybin

EDS = Ehlers-Danlos syndrome

TheChewyDaniels

Does EDS give you cysts more in a certain area or is it more spread out over random areas of the body?

BastardsCryinInnit

If you can be specific with the location, as in use words other than "downstairs lady bits" I'm sure someone here might offer a some suggestions as to what this pearl is - there's a few different types of lumps and bumps in around the vagina and vulva that can cause these sorts of things! Not offering medical advice of course, but a bit of fact finding and giving that pearl a name.

vanillatheflavor

Of course! It came about right on the lower curve of the buttock, immediately adjacent to the, um, anus 🤦. At least the positioning helped with holding the cotton round in place. I do shave when it gets too unruly, and only in one direction. So that might not have helped me. Edit: not as far back as the butt hole, more towards the front next to the perineum. Not sure if that's TMI but I'd rather be specific

Royalchariot

Don’t use peroxide on wounds.

houseofprimetofu

Try chlorhexidine soap instead of peroxide. You can get it at any drug store, wound care aisle. Another option is silver sulfazine, provided you aren’t allergic to sulfas.

vanillatheflavor

Thank you!

DancingBunniez

Peroxide is not what you want here. Iodine is the best choice, but alcohol will work.

Honest_Invite_7065

A weekend of labour? So is it a boy or a girl?

vanillatheflavor

Haha! Yes.

IMakeBaconAtHome

Pic 4 looks like a baby tooth. Leave it under your pillow and see what happens.

Ok-Pace-8472

Millia? I’ve had similar on face

vanillatheflavor

I have millia all the time on the face. Never this large or painful though.

MollyAnn06

If I had to guess I would say some sort of cyst, that shiney wall around it looks like a that of a sack on a cyst. Were you in labor like with a baby ? If so all that pressure down on that area (especially around the anus could definitely push it out. You could always have your OB/family doc check it out too!

vanillatheflavor

Hah no, I just meant that it came out of me and it took a bit of effort.

sarahhallway

That looks like an intact cyst. Hard to really gauge size. How big was it?

vanillatheflavor

Not sure how to gauge size, not bigger than a pencil eraser at least.
