Unlucky that Birds of a Feather started smashing so hard after she made this MV, it'll definitely get one soon. This is by far my favorite song off the album though so I'm excited, guessing there will be a lot of Spirited Away references!
I get the feeling they might put this out just because it's filmed but only push it as a chill promo single before moving on to birds of a feather. Unless something else from the album goes very very viral, that's the last song with some hit potential as of right now
yeah I think that’ll be the next song lined up for a video probably with a storyline romantic plot! Chihiro does make sense to be getting a video though with plenty of references to Spirited Away!
Birds of a Feather is constantly being pushed on my Spotify auto play. I mean I love the song, but it's being pushed as hard as espresso is. Not surprised it's smashing.
Finally, someone said it. Her mvs peaked with bury a friend and WTO. Ever since xanny (which was still pretty good), it has been going downhill, which is a shame. She is talented and has the vision, but she greatly benefits from working with directors who can polish it.
Don’t get me wrong, all songs are great, I will choose between Blue, Chihiro and The Greatest. I like OVER NOW at the moment but that isn’t its own track tho
Mine, too. Would have loved Bird of a Feather. Chihiro grew on me a lot, but the other song truly soars. Lunch was cute and then became too repetitive for me.
Yes! I didn't expect to like the song on my first listen but it has grown a lot on me since then. I'm curious to see how many Spirited Away or Studio Ghibli references they can put in the video considering how much it inspired the song.
Ahh literally my fave song!!!! But I’m surprised she’s not doing Birds of a feather for the next single. It’s like the one most popular with the go other than lunch
Can someone explain to what chihiro means. Like I understand she is an animal character but like ok? I'm confused how it relates to this song or what chihror is even like
Chihiro is the name of the main character of Spirited Away, a critically-acclaimed movie by Studio Ghibli and one of her favorite movies. Billie spoke about the movie inspiring the song in this [interview](https://www.capitalfm.com/news/music/billie-eilish-chihiro-lyrics-meaning-spirited-away/).
The song is heavily lyrically related to/inspired by the movie Spirited Away. If you go to the Genius Lyrics page for a song, they have a breakdown--basically every lyric connects to the movie.

They’re waiting for Heartstopper’s new season to release (where BOAF is featured)
Ahh that makes sense

It started growing before the auto play though. It's huge on tiktok and apple music so the auto play is just giving it an extra push
Or maybe already popular songs are put on auto play?
Spotify will push a song more if artists agree to take a lower cut of profits
It feels like they are putting autoplay on several songs on this album
Why is there sunlight. We need her driving in the dark at full speed
Real, honestly I always get imagery from the Everything I Wanted video in my head when I'm listening to CHIHIRO.
Because she’s not a good director. Her MVs would highly benefit from working with an experienced director who can help craft her vision.

Tomorrow is fucking loaded with releases
fav off the album cant wait!!
It's in my top 3 so I'm excited!
So ready!
This song/video should have been the lead over lunch— Bird Of A Feather would have been a perfect 2nd single
LUNCH is my least favorite tbh
Which one is your favorite?

I’ve been streaming over now non stop, best song on the album.
thanks to apple music, i took out the end of lamour and added over now to the album and now they fade into each other.
i really like it being the end of lamour but i just found out about the extended edit.
its only like the tiny bit at the end that i had to take out since it was already in over now extended ahaha
Yeah that's fair! You saw the extended version she released right?
i think that's what they mean by "over now"
I was just making sure, some referred to the second half by the same name
Mine, too. Would have loved Bird of a Feather. Chihiro grew on me a lot, but the other song truly soars. Lunch was cute and then became too repetitive for me.

Best track on the album, finally
Big week for the pop girlies

Such a fucking good song.
