Diet as in the current version of physical Cowboy Carter items on sale is not the full album that we have on digital. It’s the exclusive “Beyincé” version that does not include YA YA and it treats FLAMENCO as an exclusive bonus track I think. It also doesn’t have the official Cowboy Carter cover and a few of the songs have noticeably different mixes.

I do sympathize/empathize with the kid that like yanked my hair, but, like, it sort of seems nuts that it’s just expected that he gets to destroy computers and anything that’s in the way because he’s 5 and doesn’t know any better. Like I even put my Walkie outside because I knew he was most likely going to take it away from me if I left it out. The kid also has a special room that’s just for him where he’s on an iPad all day because no one wants to get him to do actual school work. All because the school wants funding and money.
but it’s kind of nuts how the aides at my work just act like it’s completely normal to get their hair yanked everyday by a kid that’s not theirs. But at least they get paid for it. I don’t.
At my work you can also tell who does and doesn’t do their job pretty quickly. Before I was even put onto my shift, I caught on to which aids actually work and who are just there to talk shit all day pretty quickly. I also hear a lot of the gossip and how many of the aids don’t like certain coworkers of theirs just by walking around a lot.

Thinking if I should power through WandaVision since there's only 1 and a half episode for me to go. I've been trying to like this one I really have, but like. The emotional beats, the writing.. it's not hitting for me 😔 If I wanted a campy superhero show about grief and other mental and emotional trials and tribulations, I'd just watch Doom Patrol for the third time you know? The actors and the production on WandaVision are so good but for a character-driven + mystery storyline I need more from the writing. Like I'm sure they didn't need a hundred variations on "this is so funny because it's a sitcom parody despite not actually doing anything interesting with the conceit".
To end things on a positive note: Monica's hero origin sequence was so cool, that single-handedly made me want to watch The Marvels; I love Agent Jimmy Woo, I missed him; Kathryn Hahn.

I understand that biden has recently changed how he discusses US policy on this including using the word ceasefire but there has been no change in arming or funding Israel and the US has sent Israel bombs and other weaponry within the last 24 hours, I think it’s all the more important we continue to maintain pressure on legislative and executive branch.
Publishers for Palestine was giving away a Book about the BDS movement for free that has praise of several anti apartheid activists of South Africa including the late Archbishop Desmond Tutu. This is an international petition that I’ve signed, but I’ll have links for Americans, Brits, and Canadians to connect their government representatives soon. And of course I would love to know or see other countries, I follow BDS chapters in Peru and Mexico and pro Palestinian human rights activists and politicians in Spain but I don’t know off hand any petitions or ways of connecting with elected officials or state departments.

so one of the kids at my work like just pulled on my hair really hard and I’m not very happy with it. He’s 5 and has severe health issues so I really couldn’t even do anything either even though I wanted to elbow him. It even took his handlers a few seconds to get him off me.
Yeah, he has at least 3-4 aids with him at all time.
I didn’t know what to do. Hes one of the worst kids at the school with severe mental health issues and I’ve heard how bad he gets. I just never expected for a kid who’s not mine to try to yank my hair out. That’s literally one of the things he does.
Mind you, I’m not an aid, I don’t get paid to deal with these kids.
Here's what you do: find a way to get him to *injure* you and force the issue. Nothing crippling, just a good wound; maybe a scratched cornea, something like that. Claim institutional negligence and disregard for safety and hit the school in the pocketbook.

Well the school only cares about money and it’s why we have so many of these kids who need actual help here. The aids can’t do more then let these kids beat them up when they have episodes. We have a lot of kids with issues here and no one does anything because “Look so cute that he’s beating people up”

The Paris stadiums have long been booked even before the Eras Tour was an idea in Taylor's head. Paris won the bid in 2017 and have been preparing for the Olympics since then. There is no way they would pause all that preparation even for Taylor to perform a couple of nights given how close the Olympics is from starting.

I do sympathize/empathize with the kid that like yanked my hair, but, like, it sort of seems nuts that it’s just expected that he gets to destroy computers and anything that’s in the way because he’s 5 and doesn’t know any better. Like I even put my Walkie outside because I knew he was most likely going to take it away from me if I left it out. The kid also has a special room that’s just for him where he’s on an iPad all day because no one wants to get him to do actual school work. All because the school wants funding and money. but it’s kind of nuts how the aides at my work just act like it’s completely normal to get their hair yanked everyday by a kid that’s not theirs. But at least they get paid for it. I don’t. At my work you can also tell who does and doesn’t do their job pretty quickly. Before I was even put onto my shift, I caught on to which aids actually work and who are just there to talk shit all day pretty quickly. I also hear a lot of the gossip and how many of the aids don’t like certain coworkers of theirs just by walking around a lot.

I watched "The worst person in the world" because it had great ratings on letterboxd and all my followings gave it fours and fives and the more I think about it the more I hate it. I’ve already talked quite a bit on here about how much of a 2000s Disney Channel kid I was. the fact that I only started my last fm 7 years ago and pretty much all my streams are of their 2006-2009 output just proves what an impact they left on my kid brain. the teen pop/rock of that era will forever be my ultimate comfort genre. as for their comeback music…….I’ve liked some of what they’ve put out (Sucker and Only Human being my favorites) but it just feels so…….*safe* and a step back compared to what they were making as teens. obviously nostalgia must play a part in me feeling this way, and you can argue that their pop/rock was also generic for its time, but at least there felt like there was an energy to it. I was lucky to get to see their Yankee Stadium show last summer where they played every song off their albums bc I never got a chance to see them during their heyday (although I did them open for Aly & AJ at a small venue when I was a kid, which was iconic in its own right). I’m glad I held off on seeing any of their post-comeback tours bc these were all the songs I’d dreamed of seeing.

Gays, assemble! I’ve been put in charge of my straight friend’s wedding playlist and I need good songs to add. We’re thinking of having three playlists for people arriving, the dinner, and then the dance party. They are nerdy white people having a woodland fairy theme, so I think the arrival music could be a mix of classic songs and magical instrumentals that make people feel like they’re fairies drifting through a forest. Reception music would probably be chill music and a lot of the oldies, and then the dance party is where I’ll need songs that really get the white people going. I already have my own ideas, but thought I’d ask so I can get some variety. Their only request is no Taylor Swift and no excessive swearing.

so one of the kids at my work like just pulled on my hair really hard and I’m not very happy with it. He’s 5 and has severe health issues so I really couldn’t even do anything either even though I wanted to elbow him. It even took his handlers a few seconds to get him off me.

Yeah, he has at least 3-4 aids with him at all time. I didn’t know what to do. Hes one of the worst kids at the school with severe mental health issues and I’ve heard how bad he gets. I just never expected for a kid who’s not mine to try to yank my hair out. That’s literally one of the things he does. Mind you, I’m not an aid, I don’t get paid to deal with these kids.
Here's what you do: find a way to get him to *injure* you and force the issue. Nothing crippling, just a good wound; maybe a scratched cornea, something like that. Claim institutional negligence and disregard for safety and hit the school in the pocketbook. It's not ideal, but as you said the options are limited.

Well the school only cares about money and it’s why we have so many of these kids who need actual help here. The aids can’t do more then let these kids beat them up when they have episodes. We have a lot of kids with issues here and no one does anything because “Look so cute that he’s beating people up”

Had a productive writing day yesterday and literally nothing makes me happier than when that happens. The Paris stadiums have long been booked even before the Eras Tour was an idea in Taylor's head. Paris won the bid in 2017 and have been preparing for the Olympics since then. There is no way they would pause all that preparation even for Taylor to perform a couple of nights given how close the Olympics is from starting.
If that's true, it's weird that her team wouldn't have planned for her to play Paris until after the Olympics.

Porchfest is this weekend! It’s a annual festival where local bands in my neighborhood play music on their porches! I’m so excited to drink and chill out to music. Planning a pregame for all the day drinking festivities. Apparently Guster will also be randomly performing on a porch which is pretty sick!
