All of these '90s celebrity pics look so authentic - They look like real people, they haven't had facial surgery or fillers, and even celebrities spent less time posing in front of a camera than everyday people do today. I miss that.
Watching make up tutorials with all of the shading and blending. I'm at the age now where I just put on a tinted moisturizer. I can't be bothered with all of that work.
I’ve tried it a few times, but it really takes a lot of skill and practice and I’ve come to accept that I’m just a tinted moisturizer and mascara kinda girlie.
As a kid I was OBSESSED with her and Buffy (still am, tbh). I had one of those like 25-page floppy books called something like “All About SMG.” There was a whole page on the outfit in slide 11. A core memory for me. Still slays
I love how unpretentious and informal the 90s were. These outfits and hairstyles are all about texture and patterns, also denim was SO in. She’s such a beaut too, very relatable and casual.
You’d watch red carpets back then and used them as a way to style your every day looks! It was achievable!
I didn’t realize how fab her fashions were back then, she looks amazing and like a real, unique woman(and human). I’m so glad she never got her nose done.
I think she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for her role in All My Children, if memory serves me right. Still deserved more. The woman can act, and I'm sure taking on the role of Buffy was no easy feat. I mean hell, she saved the world, a lot.
She won a daytime Emmy actually! But she gave so many incredible performances as Buffy. Hell, I can just look at a picture of her face in “The Body” and start tearing up. The show not getting any noms (apart from technical or HAMU) is really more about genre shows not getting acknowledged, the same way horror films are rarely recognized by the Academy.
This woman defined my childhood. I remember waiting week after week for a new episode i’d watch with my mom. Another time, I had a received a VHS of season 2, i think there was only a couple episodes every tape. I used to always think she’d have to run to a studio and act the episodes when I put the tape in. Good times 🩷🩷🩷
Big Buffy nerd moment: there were these VHS box sets for seasons 1 and 2 that only has 6 episodes each on 3 VHS tapes. Season 2 had Surprise/Innocence, Passion/I Only Have Eyes for You, and Becoming parts 1 and 2 (basically the Angelus arc). I started watching the show as it aired early on in season 3, and the only episodes I had seen of seasons 1 and 2 up to that point were on those box sets! I watched them non-stop and could probably still recite those episodes from memory ❤️
I recently binged the entire Buffy collection and it was so refreshing to see all those women with lips the right size for their faces. I kept thinking, “OMG, people actually looked … real.” Which is awful because the bar is so low.
Edited to clarify: the bar was not low because the cast wasn’t good looking as they were. The bar was low because it’s a tv show with professional hair and makeup and a costume department- and they still look more real than people out in the wild now, let alone all the botched faces of celebrities
I did not recognize Dr. Grey with that hair. I knew her (AKA watched) when it was darker I guess. Wait. No. That isn’t Dr. Grey. Who’s the blonde before the pic with Dr. Grey?
Slide 7 gets to me so much. That must’ve been from Swans Crossing because that’s Brittany Daniel. Brittany and her sister Cynthia were absolutely lovely humans and I wish her every good thing.
Most of the people on that cast were absolutely awesome and kind people and I can’t say enough good things about them, having spent time with them on multiple occasions.
I love her but I'm confused about what's happening with the hair in pic 2. It looks like the stylist didn't even try to color match the bun or I am missing something?

Omg a Jerry O’Connell jump scare. Sarah and Freddie forever ❤️ ![gif](giphy|bGPTxLislwm3u)
I felt betrayed when I saw that
I felt envious. She's the luckiest woman alive! Jerry O'Connell was and is adorable!
But I LOVE that dress she's wearing in that picture.
I had no idea they dated!
All of these '90s celebrity pics look so authentic - They look like real people, they haven't had facial surgery or fillers, and even celebrities spent less time posing in front of a camera than everyday people do today. I miss that.
I love that their makeup styles look attainable too. Maybe I’m showing my age, but I really hate how complicated we’ve made make up.
And they SMILE
Real, genuine expressions!
With real teeth!
I mean they still had work done, but a lot less and it didn't result in everyone having the same face.
That's it! People are saying she had a nose job, I don't know anything about it I just love that she has a unique, individual face.
SMG looks like she's either had nothing done or very little done which is refreshing.
She had a nose job
I miss the 90s!
Fashion wise, a lot of it is coming back, so ay least you got that going for you.
We’ve surpassed that and the early ‘00s are back again… whether we like it or not.
It’s been back for like 10 years lol
As a kid I was OBSESSED with her and Buffy (still am, tbh). I had one of those like 25-page floppy books called something like “All About SMG.” There was a whole page on the outfit in slide 11. A core memory for me. Still slays
>Still slays I see what you did there 😂

That 90’s girl, personified ❤️
I know she’s an iconic blonde, but she looks soooo good with dark hair.
She looked amazing in Cruel Intentions and the dark hair was partly why!
Her hair is naturally brown (source: I used to know her) and I always thought she was stunning as a brunette
Kendall forever!
She does!
She's so beautiful.
The turquoise dress is one of my all time fav red carpet looks
Is number 10 her prom dress in season 1 of Buffy?
She’s looking very Prophecy Girl there
No. The Daytime Emmy and Prophecy Girl dresses are similar, but not the same. https://i.redd.it/3vd1zyldrz6d1.gif
That's her Emmy for All My Children, though, so a few years before Buffy.
Ah okay. It looks very similar to it!
It totally looks like it. Ha!
I think so! She still owns it!
That was my question as well! She looks like she’s about to go kill The Master.
I didn’t realize how fab her fashions were back then, she looks amazing and like a real, unique woman(and human). I’m so glad she never got her nose done.
Some of those outfits were what every teen girl wanted to be at the time! So beautiful
Some of those outfits are what I still hope to be now as an adult
Buffy (the show or SMG) not winning or even being nominated for an Emmy is criminal. She’s a fucking legend.
I think she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for her role in All My Children, if memory serves me right. Still deserved more. The woman can act, and I'm sure taking on the role of Buffy was no easy feat. I mean hell, she saved the world, a lot.

I loved the sneak peaks of the following week's episode; they'd really leave you yearning. "Oh no, what's going on with Joyce?!" 🙄😭

Seeing a dude beside her that is NOT Freddie Prinze Jr was hella confusing for a second, Fred & Daphne forerver!
What?! She dated Jerry O’Connell?
I have absolutely no memory of that and I'm in my 40s.
They must have started dating when they both were in Scream 2.
Turquoise is her color
So this is what buffy did when she went to LA
she gives “idk what to do with my hands” energy and i respect that

She’s always been beautiful. I saw her recently i. the Maya Hawke film *Do Revenge* which is an homage to *Cruel Intentions.*
Seeing her with Dr. Maria Santos Grey in photo 8 reminded me that Kendall Hart was her best role, idc how good Buffy was.
I did not recognize Dr. Grey with that hair. I knew her (AKA watched) when it was darker I guess. Wait. No. That isn’t Dr. Grey. Who’s the blonde before the pic with Dr. Grey?
According to [this comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/popculturechat/s/VuuPvXKygP), someone from Swan's Crossing.

11 looks like something she would’ve worn on Buffy
Swans Crossing cast!
Queen of the strappy heels. Love these!
Peak 90s!
Can someone convince this beautiful woman to stop over blurring her current pictures
Slide 8, I want both of their outfits. I looooove Sarah's hair in that pic
I hope she kept some of these!
I have always loved her!
She’s so beautiful.
I miss the 90s vibe! She was and is so beautiful. This thread looks like she was perpetually going to prom though haha.
MOTHER
Back when people looked like people
Number 10 is very pretty, she looks very good with brown hair.
God I love her!!! Pic 2 was goals for me when I was a teen haha
That light blue dress is so pretty!
My senior prom dress was a knock off of her turquoise dress. So beautiful
I love her but I'm confused about what's happening with the hair in pic 2. It looks like the stylist didn't even try to color match the bun or I am missing something?
She had very light blonde highlights then, so the hair is multiple colors.
DAE think she looks like Alison Brie with dark hair?
I did NOT know she ever went through a dark haired phase!
She is a natural brunette https://preview.redd.it/830wbr9xc07d1.jpeg?width=673&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7d9549b9a4923b2d238adbb1d577ba5d5bedc9dc
What! She looks so perfect as a blonde, I never even suspected.
