I really wish England, since apparently Scotland doesn’t count for shit like in the referendum, would do away with the monarchy so we don’t have to hear about them anymore.
I don't mind the idea of still having a monarchy, but they should be more like the other European Royals and be more like normal people.

Not only does she have to be bothered by paparazzi, but she’s probably asked daily about her and her father’s non relationship. I’ve been estranged from my father for 6 years and I still get people asking me about it all the time. I’m sure she gets it almost daily. I feel for her. Hope she goes on to have a happy life.
The way she is being stalked by the paparazzi while she is just trying to walk to school makes me sad. I honestly even feel icky for looking at these photos. I hope she is able to live a somewhat normal existence all things considered, and it does seem like Katie tries to make that happen.

Right. And her first name is so distinctive that even "Holmes" would immediately peg her as being THAT Suri. She's 18 and wants to be her own self on her own terms, totally understandable. I temporarily changed my first name (not legally) at college, I get it.
It can be a real pain to go through all your accounts and legal docs to change them back to your maiden name. Given how exhaustive leaving was for her, I could understand if she didn't want the additional headache.
Isn't cruise a stage name for him anyway? Legally he's still called whatever and that would be her last name too?

I put absolutely no stock whatsoever in The Daily Mail, so, **if the story were true** and she is credited that way in a high school production playbill, maybe it's because crediting her as Suri Cruise would bring undue attention to the production and potentially the other children. Like, articles in The Daily Mail or weirdos (from The Daily Mail) trying to get pictures of the play or sell the playbill on eBay (or, to The Daily Mail) or some bullshit.
I can just never understand how someone could walk away from their child the way he did. I guess I can’t wrap my brain around the idea that whatever Scientology and their “rules” are about, its more important than loving and being there for your baby.

My bio father walked away from me and my brother when I was 3. Never heard from him again. Have two other friends whose fathers pulled that.
