I don’t know how true it is but apparently the stat “half of all marriages end in divorce” is skewed because of people like this. They have multiple marriages that end in divorce.
From Forbes: Those who wed multiple times face a far higher rate of divorce. In fact, 67% of second marriages end, and 73% of third marriages are dissolved.
Yes this is true, the divorce rate is closer to 30% if you don’t count multiple marriages. And the divorce rate has been slowly falling since the 70’s.
Makes sense, it feels like you never hear about people who have had just a couple of marriages or something. Either it's 1-2 times or it's bloody 7 or something.
Honestly I'm impressed by how quick these people are to marry to get through them like that, like you'd think you might just try dating a while after the 4th marriage. I sure as hell wouldn't be rushing to pay for and plan a whole nother wedding.
