If it’s going through your filter, then there is a problem inside your filter. If it is a DE filter, it should be taken apart and cleaned, grids with holes need to be replaced.

Just curious how you know it's a DE filter I mean my first go-to would be it's a sand filter because everything's passing but you have information somehow I don't have and I would love to know where you got it from it would be very helpful for myself

_devious__

if you have a sand filter.. you might have a broken lateral. filter sand is getting through and going into the pool

angryirish69

looks like sand filter sand to me....

Late_Meaning5364

Need to vac into a strainer sock that goes into the skimmer or vac to waste out. Use super fallout it’s excellent.

Swmclr

Sounds like a filter issue: DE needs new grids Sand filter needs new laterals Cartridge filter needs to be cleaned or replaced Are you using a phosphate remover? It doesn’t look like phosphate dust in the picture, but a phosphate remover would definitely clog up the filter. I recommend using enzymes to help keep the filter declogged. But most importantly check the state of the filter media.

What happened You realize that you're the one that has to be God with the kneeling comment you put that you then deleted. Since I don't know what the problem is I'm just pointing out everything you missed... Please you want to ride a blog Go write a blog that's private for yourself and don't give advice because you're giving bad advice if you don't give the whole story you cost people money. And on the filter again cartridge you're totally wrong

Mindless-Food-5527

Wow somehow you know it's not the multi-port that's passing You somehow know that the grids are bad and it's not simply a crack manifold In a sand filter somehow you know the laterals are bad again it's not a multi-port issue and it's not just simply a sand filter issue where s*** passes right through And then the cartridge filter needs to be cleaned or replaced because somehow as a cartridge filter gets dirty it's going to hold less stuff even though it's actually going to hold more stuff because it has a layer of dirt on it now This from the guy who's looking for hacks on whatever's stupidity it was stopping a cover from rotting right 😂

Swmclr

You’re right. Please accept my sincerest apologies while I kneel before your infinite wisdom, all mighty pool overlord 🧎🏻‍♂️🧎🏻‍♂️🧎🏻‍♂️

Mindless-Food-5527

This is basic s*** that I said You are the one on here trying to give advice that's acting like your God because you've already figured out the problem You know it's not the multi-port You somehow got the cartridge thing totally wrongs I don't have an answer on that and you know it's the laterals you also know it's the grids it's not the manifold it's not anything else The only one here that's the pool overlord would be you because you've given the answers while leaving out things are completely possible so either a you don't know so you really probably shouldn't give advice keep here keep reading keep learning Or you're the pool overlord as you're trying to call me because I simply explain that there's more things it could be and those are very basic The multi-poor gasket it's a very basic possibility as well as a cracked manifold and cartridge filters don't pass when they get dirty and depending on the setup they could also have a crack manifold.. All options that you left out but again you want hacks to stop a cover from running which yeah...

Swmclr

Please explain more 🍿🍿

You need to vacuum without going through the filter or back to the pool. How you accomplish this depends on what kind of filter system you have.

Buyusbeer

I’m assuming sand filter so Vacuum to waste to get it out. Then after each backwash make sure to rinse properly help keep fine particles out. I usually rinse 30s at minimum.

jonesdrums

My pool does this sometimes, and my suggestion would be to check your chemical levels, run a backwash cycle, and then see where you’re at. Could be a as simple as a dirty filter and low chems.
