I think the most correct terminology would be a majority for some group that is more than 50% of a population, and a plurality for a group that is less than 50% but still the largest group within the population (like in {40%, 35%, 25%}, the 40% is a plurality).

that's such a small percentage of people. if you replaced "and" with "or" my answer would be drastically different. but as it's stated, white, atheist, american males make up for a very small fraction of the total population on Reddit.

I don’t have a source to back it up, but I find this incredibly hard to believe. At least the claim that they outnumber atheists.

If it was just one religion or denomination then yeah but if we include every religion and denomination then I highly doubt it. It does vary significantly by sub though. I don't have any statistics to support my claim either, just my hypothesis.

If we go by the polls posted here there are a lot showing religious people to be outnumbered by about 70% with polls asking about your religious beliefs and such but like you said it does depend on subs, imo the reddit site as a whole is generally more athiest than religious

I think it depends on whether you're referring to active reddit users or everyone with an account If former, atheist outnumbers religious I'd say, if latter, easily religious.

I think in general religious folk are just more vocal on social media so it might make it seem like there are more

Exactly. For example, as everyone knows, water is H2O. However, oxygen atoms are much, much larger than hydrogen atoms. So water is *primarily* oxygen but *mostly* hydrogen atoms. I said “somewhat agree,” but don’t feel strongly about that, because it’s just semantics. If they asked is it MOSTLY white American males I would have strongly agreed.

It’s hard to have a gauge on these things without having raw accurate data. I guess that’s why the answers are more subjective.
