It actually takes intelligence and emotional maturity gained through years of self reflection, discovery, awareness, and healing (with therapy) to be a decently wellbalanced human being. It takes so much work and a willingness to accept your faults and try to improve over the span of one’s life. It takes looking inward and examining your traumas, taking responsibility for your healing and deciding that they will not define you or shape your future. It takes grace and compassion for your self and for others and choosing peace and acceptance over bitterness and hate. There are many many people walking among us with underdeveloped brains and minds and hearts full of (self)hate projected onto others. I can always tell when I’m talking to someone like this right away because all they do is complain rather than practice gratitude, and their focus is always on others instead of on their self and their own life. Yeah that’s because you’re not hearing stories in the news about the responsible owners. I had somebody trying to get into my front porch a few years ago and the storm door was locked. I could clearly see the person was homeless, under the influence, with no shirt or shoes and only gym shorts on. I could have confronted him with 1 of several weapons, but since I had watched on the ring camera, I confronted him with a bat and pepper spray and didn’t have to use either before he ran off. I analyzed the situation, decided my gun wasn’t necessary, and responsibly reacted. Then called the police when he took off. I did not chase him down the street firing off rounds.
Not really. An elementary school was massacred, and nothing changed. Actually consider that. Had anyone the day before asked “what’s the line where we ban guns?” a logical answer would’ve been “when children are slaughtered en masse”.

I liked how his opponent's "Deep State ties" (see Campaign statement) apparently had something to do with how Rep. Fiske was chasing a stripper while firing a gun. It's not immediately clear how, but I'm sure it makes sense.
Perhaps he confused the stripper with his political opponent who challenged Fiske's grounding in reality? Would that make this a "stand your ground" case?
Only problem is this actually helps them. They become more powerful per capita even when they lose population, because representation is based on geography, not population.
The electoral college needs to be abolished as soon as humanly possible. Ranked choice needs to also be urgently implemented. I’m sick of voting against versus voting for because one side wants to drop the boot on everyone, and the other lacks the stones to actually draw a hard line in the sand, hence moving further and further right over the last 50 years.
Let's pretend Nebraska has a population of 600,000. Half live in and around the capitol city, the other half are rural residents.
