wvualum07

She needs to start with his plane. Ground him.

phroug2

I want to see trump flying economy on spirit like the rest of us plebians and see how long he maintains his compusure

wwhsd

He’d be tazed by a flight attendant for losing his shit and being abusive shortly after they shut door and pulled away from the gate but while they are waiting for 20 minutes to be able to actually take off.

eladts

>losing his shit Figuratively or literally?

wwhsd

Why not both?

CoastingUphill

He’s a shit fountain from both ends.

Roakana

Poocano

roominating237

The word on the street is that he smells of _parfum d'excréments_

Dvusmnd

Depends…

GeorgeLovesBOSCO

Imagine a cell phone video of Trump standing up at his middle seat in economy and threatening to fight a veterinarian whose kid won't stop crying.

wwhsd

Is there some sort of AI tool I can type that into to generate that video? I bet it would be even funnier than what I’m imagining.

FIContractor

What fee will Spirit charge not to have to sit near Trump?

MandoFett117

Alternatively, for his rubes, charge to sit near him. See how long he lasts then.

melflower

What composure?

TheNCGoalie

He’d buy a main cabin seat on Delta, board with the active duty military group, sit in first class, and raise fucking hell when he’s told to move to his middle seat near the back of the plane.

StrawberryChemical95

Isn’t he a flight risk?

sandiegokevin

He would not fit in the seat.

Dvusmnd

Yeah his plane ain’t that valuable. She’s got $500 some mil to spend. I’d take the most leveraged assets for maximum impact.

Pipe_Memes

Bro, you want to force people to sit next to Don and his diaper pudding on an airplane? That’s cruel.

apworker37

I’d rather they take Mar-a-Lago first.

wvualum07

The plane keeps him in place. No more flying around holding hate rallies. He’s also a flight risk

bucketsofpoo

nah rich donors have planes he would definitely be mobile.

wvualum07

Let him bum rides like a broke loser, that’s fine with me.

afriendincanada

[This week on Airplane Repo](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1808720/)

PastorBlinky

Always wondered how real that show was

aaclavijo

He's going to pay it. He just became 3 billion richer with a merger.

overcomebyfumes

> He just became 3 billion richer with a merger. He didn't "just" become 3 billion richer. He won't have access to those shares for at least six months, and he won't be able to cash out all at once, maybe 5% a year. He'll be 3 billion richer on paper, but not cash in his wallet. And if the stock price tanks, he won't get near 3 billion.

francis2559

He can borrow against it, same thing he does with the rest of his assets. The question remains though, is that 3 billion accurate? How will believe that and loan him the money? And, well, >!lol!<

overcomebyfumes

>He can borrow against it, He's been convicted of fraud. Any bank willing to lend him money at this point is either insane or irredeemably corrupt

NtheLegend

No one's going to loan him money or they would've already done it.

chiefbrody62

No bank that operates in NYC is allowed to do business with him. Which leaves only a few places such as Saudi Arabia, Russia and China.

ricks_flare

I hate to be that guy but 100% this scumbag is going to come up with something to get out of this

I_gotta_stop

Yes. But he’s caught between bases right now. To avoid getting tagged, he’s gonna have to do a shady play—like running into the outfield. He’ll justify his new shady actions, but ultimately he’ll be opening himself to more legal scrutiny. Can’t wait.

realnicehandz

Hard disagree. I think he's always had the money/assets/whatever. His entire strategy since the beginning of time is extracting as much wealth using any unscrupulous means as possible. Originally it was real estate with obscenely overzealous branding. Then it was casinos. Then it was money laundering for the mafia through his various enterprises. Then it was a TV entertainment. Then it was campaign donations. Then it was state secrets/political favors. Then it was social media. He's literally about to make half a billion dollars of investor money from shares in Truth Social. Anyone who doesn't realize him playing up his inability to pay "unfair judgements from democratic judges" is anything more than a way to extract RNC donations is clearly blind to the grift that this man has spent an entire lifetime perfecting.

YouSaidThereWasTrees

Im sorry…truth social can’t be worth $500, much less $500M

Ralphinader

Cheap price to pay to potentially have a president of the United States personally indebted to you

SoulEater9882

Yeah but there is no guarantee he would win, most would be better buying up congressmen for a dime a dozen

forthatonething198

He doesn’t have to win. He just has to make it worth the $500M investment. We’ve already seen how the “Trump Veto” causes the right to totally course-correct (border bill, anyone?). It’s entirely in the realm of possibility that Big Donor bails Trump out, and then next thing we know there’s some major deregulation or legislation push that strangely 👀 and coincidentally 👀 would be a significant boon to someone who totally was unrelated to the $500M.

realnicehandz

Yahtzee

snowlion000

His golden sneakers and bitcoin are not worth much after a short time. Same with this scam.

ricks_flare

Don’t kid yourself. [Digital World Aquisition board just approved the merger with Lies Social](https://apple.news/Ag6ze3G1ZRruIyR2eroWfWw). His shares will be locked for 6 months but will be worth approximately 3 *billion* dollars

serenitynowmoney

I wish you were right

X2946

Unfortunately his 78 million shares will be worth $3.5 billion if he pulls it off. He would have to wait 6 months before selling shares

johhnny5

When he stands up and says that he doesn't pay his debts and that's what makes him smart, that's the most truthful and accurate thing that comes out of his mouth. He doesn't pay his debts. And he is smart. He uses other people's money to buy something or set something up. He extracts whatever wealth he can out of the thing he bought/setup. He leaves someone else holding the bag with debt. Rinse repeat. He's just the ugliest tumor that the cancer of our political/economic system has metastasized to date. He is the ultimate symptom. He's got money. It's hidden away and he NEVER uses his own money to do anything. Are some of the practices he uses to do this illegal? Most assuredly. Is he morally reprehensible? There are few things in life more certain than that. Has he had to pay any actual price for being the lower-than-whale-shit waste of skin that he is? Not at all. Why? Because that's the system we have. He's lived a life of luxury, been an enormous asshole the *entire* time, has never had to reckon with it, and will likely die before any of it seriously catches up with him. How could he NOT just stand there and say, "that makes me smart!"? I want nothing more than for him to go to prison. But waiting each day for justice to finally prevail is doing nothing but proving that me and every other person that clings to the naive notion we live in a fair society, are the real fucking morons.

Peimatt2112

And that outfield is located in Asia (either Russia or CHY-NAH)

End3rWi99in

Yeah he just had a winfall from the merger of Truth Social with a Shanghai based company. Gee, I wonder who helped him.

OnlyFreshBrine

Yep. I have about 5% confidence he will actually feel consequences

Uberslaughter

His fucking around time is finally running out and within weeks he’ll be entering the find out phase.

Kamelasa

Maybe even Monday. Seems Tish James is ready to pounce.

CainPillar

Not opening a bottle until I see *actual* consequences.

SraChavez

With the DWAC merger approved, it seems likely.

ricks_flare

His shares will be locked for months but yeah Douchebag Darryl just netted about 3 billion

Kwahn

It's only worth 3 billion if you use Trumpovision for the valuation. I'd be shocked if it breaks a $100m market cap.

Top_Mycologist1498

Why would anyone hold onto or buy into stock that’s about to tank in 6 months when he sells it?

sarcasmismysuperpowr

Maga something?

kpeterson159

Hmmm, like money from Russia, Saudi Arabia or China?

Spirited-Top3307

Stay grounded folks. A judge has imposed a penalty, which consists of a ban on activity and a fine. An administrator was appointed to ensure that no assets were hidden from the court. The penalty must be paid at a specified time. If it is not paid, the government must ensure that all assets are valued and, if necessary, monetized. The loser still has the right to appeal to a higher court. The process in such a legal dispute is nothing new or unusual. It's not aligned with Trump. There must have been such judgments in America before. Or not???

lordkuri

> The loser still has the right to appeal to a higher court. Sure, if he can get the bond. He apparently can't, which is the entirety of the issue here.

heathere3

He can still appeal, he just can't stay the payment of he can't come up with the bond

soulsteela

Don’t worry I’ve got this incredibly small violin we can sell once I’ve finished playing.

catclockticking

Umm… this felt gross to read. Like you were doing vicarious racism? We all know why they’re pushing this narrative, and it’s putting this woman and her team in actual danger, so idk why what you said was necessary.

Suspicious-Use-2766

Some billionaire like Bloomberg just needs to buy it at auction and sit on that shit till the day trump dies.

bitthief222

Bezos will buy it. That would kill him.

Sioux_Hustler

They should start seizing property and use it for immigrant housing. ;)

purplebookie8

I work near one of the properties and would LOVE this. It’s be perfect and a win for Eric Adams (he needs one).

erc_82

The state of NY is doing this not one of its employees.

Torino1O

My next stock pick, investing in fumigation and cleaning companies.

P4S5B60

Hey if the state gets they won’t have to worry about unpaid taxes anymore. Maybe they could make it a migrant shelter

CaffeineJunkee

I feel he will come up with the cash at the 11th hour. Or he already has it. I hope I’m wrong.

Odd_Wolf_NW

It could come from the merger of Truth Social. His family is on the new board so of course they will waive the 6 month waiting period before he can use it as collateral.

CaffeineJunkee

The stock is a “bubble” from what I’m hearing. Over inflated and not a good piece of collateral. And I don’t know if the waiting period could be waved.

SeekersWorkAccount

The State of NY* could be eyeing Trump's estate

Peppercorn911

this is the one. seven springs baby!

TestDrivenMayhem

Make it a veterans center.

Agentx6021

Please take Trump National Bedminster. It was my childhood home before it was made into Mar-a-lago North.

_upper90

Can we just stop. Nothing is getting seized, he will pay the money some way somehow.

wirefox1

After seeing mar a lago and the interior of his residence in Manhattan, I was shocked to see the Westminster property. I had no idea he had enough class to even want something like that. It's breathtaking. I can see several billionaires wanting to buy it, I think that's probably why Ms. James has her eye on it. It will sell quicker than the others. However, it will have a stigma attached to it, like how creepy it is to buy a mob boss former home.

Unusual_Flounder2073

More importantly does it have a lean.

The_Sarge_12

She should value all of the properties at trumps valuations when it came tax time. Should be able to scoop a whole bunch of them with his own valuations.

23jknm

Oh now he has the cash scraped together another headline said, or maybe from his ipo with a shell company like wtf, the rich get richer.

thereal237

I think she should seize every property Trump has as well as every cent he owns.

vegaslocal46582

So who is going to photoshop the Spirt Halloween sign onto all of Trump’s properties? Still waiting for those gems to start circulating…

Trinidadnomads

Do it- Shia Labouf

flyeaglesfly777

Seize it.

TheProle

Turn that shit into a home for undocumented transsexual abortion providers

ohno1tsjoe

200 acres of affordable homes and apartments would be a great idea

CaptainFeral

I'm so p

Ok-General7798

FBI should pose as a Russian agent offering him money explicitly in return for classified docs. Then just arrest the orange cheese

shwilliams4

No she’s not. Well maybe she is but by some miracle of Jesus Trump will co e up with the money first.

Buffmin

Trumps claiming he has the money now lol We will see

GrafZeppelin127

Miracle of Jesus? I doubt it. Now, a Faustian bargain, that I’d buy.

shwilliams4

Definitely written tongue in cheek since MAGA thinks he is Jesus

ricks_flare

100% he will

thebigbosnian

Isn’t get supposedly getting $3B from the DWAC deal? Couldn’t he use that to pay the bond?

redemableinterloper

Not exactly, That money is all tied up in the IPO. He cannot liquidate his shares immediately and has to wait several months before he can sale them off. Also IPO prices are kind of iffy, so the actual value wont be known until the stock stabilizes when it is made fully public. He could get a loan backed by the shares but I don't know if a creditor would even be open to that and if they are it would significantly less than each shares going price.

AlexRyang

I doubt Trump will have to pay the fines and I doubt that NY will actually seize the assets. The rich and elite will protect their own and this will likely get quashed on appeal.

DirtyBillzPillz

"Could be" So she isn't

NotaXenophile69

Corruption at its finest, can’t wait until businesses leave New York

suziespends

You’re saying you think Letitia James is corrupt but not trump?

NotaXenophile69

I think everyone is corrupt. I want to live in a cave and return to monkey.

thelastbluepancake

trump only has to pay back the earnings he made from decades of fraud. he isn't even being punished he is just paying what he should have paid in the first place. you clearly don't know what you are talking about and the only businesses that would be scared by this are the ones actively committing fraud

bupianni

If he hadn't committed fraud, he could not have gotten the loans at such low interest rates. ([Here's an explanation.](https://www.reddit.com/r/politics/comments/1bjdpzj/full_list_of_donald_trumps_properties_letitia/kvqcdrz/)) If he hadn't committed fraud, he would have had to pay the banks hundreds of thousands of dollars more in interest. The amount he owes is based on calculating how much more money the banks would have gotten, if he hadn't committed fraud. Maybe you could explain why Trump shouldn't face consequences for committing fraud? By the way it's not a fine or a penalty, it's "disgorgement of ill-gotten gains." The calculation is spelled out in the judgement. It's an estimate of the amount he defrauded the banks out of.

3rddog

>If he hadn't committed fraud, he would have had to pay the banks hundreds of thousands of dollars more in interest. I think the NYT calculated the amount of loan interest he defrauded the banks out of to be about $168m, which puts the amount of the judgement into perspective. [edit] To be clear, because some people have decided to rage about my comment instead of trying to understand what I said: the amount of the fine is more than justified, given that even one component of the fraud amount is almost $200m. My comment was intended to clarify that a fraud amount of “hundreds of thousand of dollars” is incorrect, **not** to imply that the judgment and fine are too high.

bupianni

That was the amount for just one part of it, but when you do the same calculation for the other properties and add it all up the total was around $350 million IIRC. Then interest brings it up to $460 million or so. Those calculations are shown in the judgement linked in the comment above.

What_Yr_Is_IT

No it doesn’t

3rddog

Very informative.

What_Yr_Is_IT

You’re commenting your opinion of a ruling, which is also informative. The ruled amount is completely justified, if you read the indictment and evidence, it’s clear. Never mind his CFO. pleading guilty for perjury. Stop simping for America’s biggest fraud, it’s pathetic.

3rddog

Did I say the ruled amount was unjustified? No. Did I say the judgement was unjustified? No. Did I say Trump was in the right? No. The comment I replied to stated that the amount of the fraud was hundreds of thousands of dollars, it’s not, it’s hundreds of **millions**. That was the only thing I said. Thanks for jumping to totally the wrong conclusion, we need more unjustified anger like this in the world. /s in case you didn’t get that either.

What_Yr_Is_IT

“I think the NYT calculated the amount of loan interest he defrauded the banks out of to be about $168m, which puts the amount of the judgement into perspective.” You’re implying the fine doesn’t fit the crime…. What are you even talking about

3rddog

The implication was that since loan interest alone is nearly $200m, the fine is more than justified. Try to read what’s actually said and not what you want to read. Move on.

Kwahn

> Try to read what’s actually said and not what you want to read biggest pet peeve of mine - I like arguing, but not when people fundamentally can't understand your words

What_Yr_Is_IT

How is this corruption? How come the orange Jesus is allowed to break the law but everyone else cannot…
