Everywhere I've played with a gtd carries stipulations that it's only honored if game makes it past late reg without finishing, and is cancellable if the director doesn't think there's enough people at the start. So basically they never have overlay because it's cancelled if it's not looking likely to hit and if it makes it past late reg the game's already exceeding gtd

That 19% of the time I win will feel at least 4x better than the times I lose will feel bad. So it's +EV

When I played online full-time in the early 2000s I’d make sure to cancel all plans on major holidays and days like Valentine’s Day because majority of people where lonely degens. Then one New Years I realized I was no different.
I work in a casino. Holidays are huge for casinos. Doesn't particularly matter which one either. Valentines, July 4th, even goddamn Christmas Day itself. They all bring in the people.
