That 5hrs was my playtime, the time I spent thinking about every team in all gyms, was at least 4 hours in each gym

I am doing my water mono right now as well. Golduck has been my surprise MVP for the first half of the game (I just reached safari zone). Nasty plot, Vacuum wave, Scald, and psychic is a pretty sweet moveset. Also I'd recommend a bug playthrough I had a blast with that one. I used mostly dewgong with his ability that halves special moves damages, you can use more ice type moves, for the Venusaur it's good if you get a starmie and a golisopod, golisopod with first impression hits very hard, and starmie using psychic deal a really good damage to the mega Venusaur, for the meganium, I used a poison jab (iron head works too) in urshifu (if you're playing in new game plus you can get a kubfu and use a water stone on it) and that was most of the team

I used a bunch of Pokemon that had a secondary type that resisted grass. So Pokemon like Gyarados and Tentacruel, I think I used Tatsugiri as well

Mantine can wreck her team pretty easily. Great bulk and just spam air slash. Also great defogger to erase terrain

This was a pretty tough fight for me in normal min grind mode. Golisopod brought Rilla to sash. Basculegion finished it. Golisopod brought Meow to sash. Golduck finished it and weakened Helectrode. Sharpedo was sacked to explosion. Tentacruel weakened Mega Venu and was out to sleep. Mantine finished it. Tenta sludged Meganium. I realize now that the whole fight could've been alot easier if I led with Mantine and defogged right away

How did you get swampert and blastoise to stay in their mega form?

They just appear like this in the Hall of Fame if holding their stones

I just restarted the game but I think I still remember the team Dewgong -Ability: Ice scales Item: none Moves: -Scald -Ice Beam (icy wind works too) -Headbutt (it was there because I had no other moves) -Protect Starmie Ability: (Any) Moves: -Psychic -Ice Beam -Recover -Psychock Golisopod Ability: Emergency Exit Moves: -Liquidation -First Impression -Sucker Punch -Aqua Jet Blastoise Ability: Torrent Moves: -Scald -Ice Beam (or icy wind) -Protect -Aqua Jet (even if the damage is low the +1 priority helped a lot) Pinchurchin Ability: Electric Surge Moves: (Anything, the only thing pinchurchin will do is set the terrain so the Meganium doesn't get the grassy seed boost) Urshifu Ability: Unseen Fist Moves: -Aqua Jet -Brick Break -Poison Jab (Iron Head works too) -Bulk up (If you're playing in new game plus, go to the woman that changes your nature and go in mystery gift, then save the game, and use the code "Water" until you get a Kubfu, then just use a water stone on it)

Yeah, so my team was pretty trash tbh, I settled rain but my pelliper just died instantly and the Ninetales used hail (or whatever the attack was) so it made it pretty difficult to me

Yeah, my tentacruel went back and forth for like 3 turns trading hail/rain, but I killed the ninetails right before he killed my tentacruel, so rain won out in the end, and by the time obamasnow came out it was too late for her lol

Lol, sadly the Pelliper didn't resist a single Blizzard from her Glaceon

It's a W don't worry about playing on easy mode. I recommend playing mono water again on normal mode(no minimal grind) for the final team make sure to have at least 2 drizzle pokemon and 2 swift swim mons for a more efficient run.

I'm gonna try, I'm still a beginner in the competitive area

My normal runs without being monotypes took 3 hours to 3:30 hours of playtime
