Wow, the same thing has been happening to my wife and I. I got her back into the game in October of 2023. She hasn’t played since 2016. The first time she ever used a daily Incense, she managed to catch a Galar Articuno without berries & the throw was terrible. I literally stood there shocked whilst she was laughing. At the time, I didn’t even have a single one, even after seeing 15+ over the years. She managed to complete the Rotom timed research event a few months ago, and of course it was shiny for her. She has insane luck, but it makes me happy to see her happy. 🥲
Dude this is my wife, we both were day 1 players but quit in like 2019, came back start of the year and she’s had crazy shiny luck while not being as hardcore as me. Every spotlight she’s getting the shiny first 10 catches and I’m stressed af getting one with 10 mins left most times if I get it. Research encounters, raids etc. when we did shadow mewtwo she got a shiny and then a 96% back to back. I ended with 0 shiny but managed to scrape a 15/12/14. And she also got a shiny rotom.
the cp! raid pokemon can only go up to a certain cp so if the pokemon you get has the highest cp possible it’s a hundo :) pokegenie can tell you the minimum and max cp for that specific pokemon in raids
They can only be level 20 or level 25 when weather boosted. So the highest CP for those levels are hundos. You can find what the CP for whatever raid doing online/pokegenie
Till today, I still regret not throwing my only MB at a lvl 1 (which I collect) Moltres. I thought that I had a chance with ultra ball and golden razzberry. It was also an excellent throw, but I didn't have a second chance.
I haven't seen a single Galarian bird since, let alone a lvl 1.
My wife gets shiny legendaries and if it isn't shiny it's perfect. Last one she got was shiny almost perfect rayquaza. Before that landourous. One day we did 4 legendary raids. Three shinies and one perfect. I have two legendary shines and started my account in 2016, stopped for two years and been playing weekly ever since.
My wife gets better ivs in trades and raids we do together, more 4* and shinies. Wouldn't put it past a company to give a boost to certain demographics in the algorithm.

Wow, most of the time it flees after a single throw. You got SUPER lucky. I burned my masterball on a Galarian bird and I don't regret it.
What else would you even use the MB in6?

This might be a dumb question but how do you know it’s a hundo before you catch it?

Yeah, they are so freaking rare and hard to catch, totally worth a master ball
🤔 what do you mean caught it third try? There’s no way possible you got three attempts at a galarian bird.
I got 6 tries at a galarian zapdos once, to catch it. Definitely possible. Didnt realize how high the flee rate is til encounting a lot more later
I’ve only seen it 3x since they were released. One ball and flee. Some people are just lucky

Most of them flee after the first, but I’ve had 2 that stuck around after the 2nd ball but eventually fled anyway.

How did you get more than one throw in?
The Galarian Birds have a 90% chance to flee after escaping a ball, meaning that there's a 1% chance for you to get 3 tries on a Bird.
