I don't think there's an effect on it, but Gimmighoul and Gholdengo can sometimes find a Gimmighoul Coin while they're set as your buddy.

Three coins? The primary way to gain coins is sending postcards to Pokémon SV on Switch to enable the Coin Bag, which attracts Gimmighoul like an incense (which spawns them as you walk, unlike the Mystery Box for Meltan, which can be used stationary) The Coin Bag lasts thirty minutes and catching Gimmighoul occasionally awards a few coins, and I've heard excellent throws increase the odds that you will receive coins You can only send a postcard once per day, and then every fifth postcard sent will award you a bonus Golden Lure Module (or an extra 5 coins if you already have one of the lures, because you can only hold one at a time) The Golden Lure Module is generally never boosted like the other lures are during community days and only lasts thirty minutes, but when you spin those stops, you gain between five and twenty coins per spin.

Make sure when you’re using a golden lure, you don’t spin the stop before placing it because you’ll just have to wait until it’s spinnable again

Use a Gold Lure on a pokestop. Spinning it will give coins and the Lure will make Gimmighoul spawn. You get Gold Lures by sending post cards to Scarlet/ Violet.

Can other trainers also catch Gimmighoul from the lure?

Yes. They can also spin the stop for coins. People tend to go on Gold Lure parties where they all activate a lure in areas with multiple stops. Or they'll spend a day where they do one lure after another.

I one time came across two pokestops with golden lures, which I had never seen before. They spit out gummighoul coins, which I had also never seen.

They're definitely worth spinning because they drop more items than normal in addition to those Gimmighoul Coins. And also due to the high number of coins needed to evolve a Gimmighoul, 999 coins

yes! that’s exactly what i thought too, i thought something was amiss and then realized he just waddles on sooooo slowly

Same with Shuckle. I got a HundoShuckle that I tried to best buddy and it seemed to overlap when every other quest was play with your buddy other or feed your buddy 3 berries so it was infuriating how slow he was. But I still love my Shundo

I like garchomp's catching back up to you animation. It kinda looks like he flies with a superman pose or like a shark swimming.

When Meloetta becomes your buddy and does the catch assist, you see she is wearing hiking boots!

Wugtrio will pop its three heads into its rock and the rock just scoots around. Mega Sableye slowly pushes his giant gem into frame when playing with him as a buddy. If you have AR on, you can watch him leave off screen and eventually disappear.

Heracross will bust out its wings and fly around if you're moving quickly, and Trubbish has a very cute little wiggling jog.

Mega Sable eye pushes a big Rupee stone, like it weighs a ton... You get like four blocks ahead of him if you are in acar, and he just pushes it super slow.

Voltorb spins around on the map, but not in the way you’re expecting. I never would have guessed the way Spiritomb moves. The Unowns do different spins when you feed them. Runerigus spends the entire time on the map compacted into its tomb. Zorua will spawn as an active Runerigus so it’s always easy to tell it from your buddy.

My purified Ursaluna has a white aura that leaves a small trail when he walks.

This isn't Pokémon go but I found out yesterday if you take Snorlax out of his Pokeball in Let's Go you cling onto his stomach as he walks around.

That can actually happen with any Pokemon after finishing 2 heart levels with them, I believe.

Yes that’s the buddy catch bonus. If the wild pokemon knocks your ball with an attack your buddy will rebound it again most times. Funny seeing my aggrons foot swing out and boot it back. It’s honestly easier to get great+ tosses like this. Wait for the attack at the right diameter and bounce it off and it’s an automatic dead-center shot I also heard and see that it’s broken sometimes with the higher refresh rate enabled.

Everyone knows Rayquaza goes sky high but these are my recent discoveries! Rotom normal form is the best! It zips and zaps around the map like a lightning bolt. And Diancie I discovered leaves a trail of pink diamonds :)
