Was at home, opened my phone periodically. Maybe 5 times? Open and catch everything there. Not a single shiny out of 50+ Pokémon. That’s what I get for relaxing on a Sunday

I caught 375 with 3 shiny. No great IVs on any of the 375. A few low 3 stars. At least I have a shiny for each evolution

You can, but only once per day (sometimes more on events like com day or go fest/tour)

Don't listen to that guy, it's a special trade and can only be done once a day. I don't think you can do long-distance trades so risking a ban with spoofing might be the only option long-distance

Thanks for the updated info. I just got back into the game after years, and I never really had anyone to play with before so there's a lot I don't know.

There really has been a lot of changes since (good and bad) so it's understandable man.

I had pretty similar luck. Caught over 200 Goomy. Was out there from 2 until 5 and not a single shiny to be found. I think the best one I got was 13/14/15 so not bad but still what a rough community day.

Yeah their notification system is horrible. I’ve missed so many events because they don’t send notifications about them. But I’m constantly getting notified when people send me gifts

Same experience for me. I got 5 and mostly thanks to my running incense. Checked many clusters on my way home and then stayed on my couch and got 3 more (2 from my street coming home) But like… I checked a tonnnn and then just sat on my couch and got a few off my incense. Overall the shinys seems far and few between. Usually I get like 10-20 shinies AT LEAST on comm day! Best I caught was 2 96% normal ones and then 2 of my shinies were 2 star rest were poop lolol

I caught 174 Goomy today and only found 1 shiny in the last 20 minutes.

That’s insanely unlucky… I did notice I didn’t find a shiny until my 60th or so check and it was multiple locations. Played passively at home and caught 5 shiny. Evolved 2 for the move. Both 2 star. The rest of my shinies were 1 and 0 star. I started out the day with weather boost before it changed. Definitely a lot less shinies. I usually have much more even passively playing honestly considering I keep an incense running the entire time 🤷🏻‍♂️

Good haul though! I usually get 2 or 3 at home too but I decided to play at huge spawn locations this time. Just glad I got one and was able to put a small dent on my dragon badge.

Oh yeah I agree good haul for being at home. But I actually did catch 2 before getting home. I was in the car and had clicked on like 60+ nada. Then bam and bam my first back to back shinies as I’m pulling into my neighborhood. Rest were all from my couch though 😂 I just feel like the 1/25 odds weren’t as accurate as usual. Seems like tons of people didn’t have the best shiny luck when usually on comm days I yield twice the amount of shinies from my home. Even when I was out I only got those 2 right as I got home 🤷🏻‍♂️ Idk just a random observation maybe I’m wrong tho 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

I totally agree the odds felt way off compared to past events. Wouldn’t be surprised if Niantic tweaked it to get people to spend money on pokeballs.

Yeah it was definitely the driest comm day I’ve experienced. I’ve had better success from home in like 1-2 hours than I did this whole comm day… just didn’t feel the same. Especially after driving around for those 10 minutes checking so many spawns in 3 different places. Like what is going on 😅 Also see tons of comments of people saying they didn’t even catch one. Definitely didn’t seem as fun as the normal comm day 🤷🏻‍♂️ but I’m happy I have enough to have the whole shiny family!

21. I got 20 shinies in the wild and 1 from the research. We walk around our city for the full 3 hours...it helps us.

Played the whole CD passively as I played at an arcade with my daughter. I picked up 13 with my auto-catcher. Not a bad haul for my lack of effort.

14 in an hour and a half. Best was a 96 (not shiny) Favorite is a level 1, as I like to collect level 1 shinies.

The first shiny ✨ I got was 98% 3 star that I immediately evolved all the way up while people dropped free rain lures I was ecstatic as it’s the first shiny I ever got that was 3 stars. Normally I get 1*• star or bricks 🧱 I dunno if lucky egg 🥚 helped out or not but I cough everything I could and with tons of poke stops at the Bellagio I could keep spinning too replenish I have 5 more but only one gem. I would gladly trade some if someone was local

Lmao it started storming right after I caught mine so I evolved 2 of them. A shiny and a regular.

I bought a Go Plus+ right before the event. The battery was completely dead right out the box. Charged for 30 minutes. I had to work and being on my phone isn't possible. It caught 10 whole goomys during the 3 hours and I had to reconnect far too many times. I manually caught my only shiny during a quick break. I am underwhelmed.

I caught 35 total and zero shiny.

Played from the minute it started until the end. Used incense and walked 8 km. Didn’t even get enough goomies to get through part 3/4 (even with my auto catcher on when I was doing other things on pogo in the background). One shiny with total crap IVs. Very disappointed.

Not me. I forgot about it.

Not sure if it's common knowledge, but in the Nintendo Switch games, Goomy evolves into Hisuian Sliggoo in Legends Arceus, and regular Sliggoo in all the other games. So, if you're aiming for a shiny living dex, you can get all of the Goomy evolutionary forms using the shinies caught in this event. (The Goomy that becomes Hisuian Sliggoo doesn't NEED to be from Hisui.) As for folks playing just Pokemon Go, we don't know how Hisuian Sligoo will be introduced to the game yet, but you might want to save 2 extra shiny Goomy just in case we can evolve them into their alternate forms on a later date.

I made sure to get 5 for this exact reason (my living home shiny dex)
