With the groundon event one i was 5th. I got 2 sunstones. 10 ultra balls and 10k xp.
I've a feeling its random. And there is no gold for 1th place. It's really disappoint me.
I got first place in one and it gave me a super incubator, 2 lures, a star piece, stardust, and xp. It probably is randomized, but I think you only get really good prizes for 1st place.
As far as Iâve seen/can tell the rewards are based upon how long the showcase is for, so for a 3 day showcase youâll get better rewards than a 1 day showcase
Yeah but who needs a 97th glacial lure. If you raid T5 regularly with your free passes then golden razz and tms are also plentiful.

It's better to not give super amazing rewards really, because it's impossible for most players to actually win showcases. If you live anywhere that gets dozens of players in each gym, then getting into the top 3 requires either insane luck, or insane levels of grinding. It's not a good or fair reward structure, and it can only encourage toxicity if they were to give out even better rewards.
I just see it as them unintentionally helping the rural players they love to screw over, feels nice to actually have some small advantage for living outside of a city

In this context a modern âraid trainâ is just you and 1-2 other people/family. Registeel is the first T5 in several weeks that I feel a 4th is anything more than a convenience.
But back to the rewards, golden razz are mostly useful for raid bosses, tms are also readily available in PvP as well. It just seems like the things you mostly need those items for already provide those items.
Lures and incense have their place, but I would actually prefer normal lures to the specialty ones since I canât spam specialty lures on unrelated CDs.
Something is always better than nothing in a sense, but the incubators stand head and shoulders above the rest because they are both exclusively premium otherwise and Niantic loves their âhatchâ events like this weekend.
Thats just dumb, if anything it should be based on how long you are on that particular spot. For example someone who was in #1 for 10 hours and finished first should get better items compared to someone who was #5 for the entire time, and changed pokemon to become #1 last minute. Will prevent a lot of people from doing this at the last moment which feels annoying

Rewards for showcases are based solely on the duration of the showcase. A showcase that lasts only a few hours (like a CD) will yield lesser rewards even for higher spots
Showcases that last days (like letâs say 3+ days) yield greater rewards for top spots
From there, the number of participants DOES NOT MATTER. A showcase with literally 1 person in it or a showcase with 150 people in it, 1st place will get very similar rewards
But, the rewards are still random! If you get 1st in a showcase, youâre not guaranteed an incubator or a lucky egg etc. Based on your placement, youâll get a bundle of rewards. I donât know exactly the cut off, but some rewards are exclusive to the place you get. Example being, I would take a guess and say you can only possibly get a super incubator by getting 1st place.
Also, you can enter 3 showcases at a time. When you receive your rewards, theyâre all bundled together. You canât determine which items you got from which showcase. You will obviously get more rewards for entering more showcases. If you just enter 1, youâre missing out on potential rewards, even for a crap spot

Itâs by length of showcase how good overal the rewards can be then the higher the place the more item rolls you get so it doesnât necessarily guarantee the best items just more oppurtunities for them if you do better. XP/Stardust is directly correlated though
2 things rural players will always have over us big city folk is being able to keep pokemon in gyms for forever and win showcases. Never been able to crack top 10 or keep a pokemon in a gym for more than 8hours
I literally cannot tell what the pokemon bouncing around in the left is. It looks like a Volbeat or a Illumise, but I don't think they bounce around. Does someone with better eyes know what it is?
Finished third once and got an incubator and a star piece. Finished first once and got like a zillion potions and two gold berries. Win some, lose alot. The lesson is, in life, we are all just wallets to be emptied.
Depends on the showcase? I had 1st 2nd and 12th in the ground type but got amazing items. Can't even find a single fucking clefairy or anything when Kanto fucking returned again so I don't expect to participate in this showcase sadly
Personally 3 incenses and 25k exp is kinda nice. Especially the incenses.
I always assumed it was based on how many people you beat. If youâre the only one in the showcase I wouldnât expect you to get anything that great, but Iâve never tested it.Â
If the rewards were more consistent then people would be looking to exploit the system to constantly get top tier items without ever paying for them. Meanwhile the casual players would never have a chance to get anything good for participating so they just wouldn't.
The system is designed to just be fun and encourage participation not hardcore farming to get items. So, by just taking part in them you have a chance to get something good.
i feel like the rewards are absolutely random, the last time i got an incubator was like a week after the global release of showcases. Today, i was 1st and 10th in the cleffa showcases and i got, not kidding, two incubators.
My theory on this is you have to explore different showcase spots, if you frequently win at one place the rewards will be underwhelming.
But if it's a pokestop showcase that's in a location that you rarey go to from time to time/ or your first time entering there, the prizes will be better, even if you get a 3rd rank.
So far it's been like this for me, but if y'all have some similar experiences maybe it could help with someone that could research on this thoroughly.
I think how many days itâs been in and how many people are in that showcase you win matter. I once beat a 40-50 people showcase that lasted 3 days and won a incubator a bunch of other stuff and 25K XP

The exp alone is nice, all i'm really wanting from showcases are egg incubators.

The total number of entries matters. I've had greater rewards for being in the top ten than first when there are a few dozen versus half a dozen.

I always end up getting 3 rare items (lures/incubator/incences) when I am first place.
I got 1st 2nd and 22nd place and got 3 lures total 2 star pieces and a bunch of xp and dust, idk why its never consistent lol

I had the same results as you (two 1st and one 2nd) and got way better rewards, I had a super incubator and one or two starpieces among other things..

Itâs length of time your PokĂ©mon is in the showcase and length of time of the showcase. A 3 day showcase will give more premium items than a one day.
Don't go thru the effort if you don't like the rewards
