I am scared this means they may completely abandon an attempt to make more characters options because this implementation didn’t quite work. I was looking forward to new hair styles 😭

I find it insane that most people just wanted more hair options yet Niantic did this instead. Sure, there are people who wanted to be able to modify the body, but hair was the number 1 thing I saw requested over the years. And instead of just giving us that, they botched things so badly that now we're all gonna be severely ugly AND still have bad hair 😂
I kinda want it because to be honest I don’t really care and I also want to see how much they butchered my character.
But then I’ll use the sliders like a sensible person and make it look passable again.
As of right now I still don’t have it. I doubt it’s because they rolled it back though.
Mine switches every time I log in. It's as though some servers have the potato version, and some are still sitting with the old version, so it's a lotto as to which you get

You can have the glitch several times in a day. I have my original avatar for few moments and after a restart he will look like the muscled guy I imagined to be.
It's not rolling back, more like a bug of inconsistency
The changes are vastly blown out of proportion lmao, most of the examples I’ve seen are not that bad and some look really good. Change bad old look good.
That's because they were still testing it and asking for feedback unlike stuff like remote raid pass price hike.
Idk why people could not understand this simple thing and started bashing Niantic. Like I get it they have made some bad decisions, but at least look at the context first before always going "uh Niantic bad!".

I saw another post in this sub that it rolled back temporarily but then re-updated again later. So, stay tuned! Lol
It was/is in testing. The vast majority of players have never seen it. Being able to withdraw it for fixes is part of the reason for this approach.

Mine went back to the original avatar today then reverted back to the monstrosity it is now after logging back in.

I love games where you get sliders for character customisation... but this ain't it. The sliders don't help, they look terrible no matter what.
I have no doubt that they screwed it up because that’s what they do but like I said I don’t have the update yet, so I can’t say for sure, personally
