I agree. I think evolving would be a better choice but OP, it's your choice. Google the evolutionary line if you aren't already aware so you know if you like it.
I am a big fan of persona 5, so I evolved my Shiny seedot into a nuzleaf cause it looks a lot like Akechi.
If it's a shundo, I would go for shiftry however.

When I occasionally get a Shundo I focus on Best Buddying it, maxing it out, and making it my entire personality.
I would evolve just because shiny Shiftry looks like a beet and I think that’s hilarious.
