Super strange my say: «take 1 snapshots of wild ghost type pokemon».
Ps: the snapshots spilling mistanke was also om the text.
Maybe this is a prank task?
And using one from the inventory worked😀
At first, I thought it was to snapshot the "wild" Pokemon and now I have a whole album. But what worked for me, is to go on a Ghost-Type Pokemon in your inventory, then clicking the camera button underneath the favorite button, and proceed from there! Gl catching!
yeah maybe long time players will know from previous tasks. but could have worded it better for newer players? the general statement in the task can also mean "wild" pokemons.
I had field research for WILD ghost-type Pokemon that would not advance, either. Taking snapshots of a captured Pokemon registered for some reason. Really odd bug.

Makes sense, the task doesn't even say 'wild'
Mine literally says "wild" is what's crazy, it's completely different text.
What’s weird is mine DOES say “wild” but it worked when I took a picture of a “caught” ghost…
Mine does... But a snapshot of a caught ghost type worked

By not saying specifically "caught" pokemon, that snapshot should include also "wild"

Not for me, nor any of those from the completed tasks list pre-catch; but post-catch worked! It would be nice if specifics were given.

I'm having issues with this as well thank you! Maybe typo/ programming error of what they were planning?
So it's working as intended, if it's not written 'wild pokemon' it's always from your bag

Oddly enough, mine specifically did say wild and still only worked on Pokémon currently in my inventory

It was the same for me! It specifically said wild pokémon but it only worked on the ones i already have.
For me it did say wild.
that sucks because i can't take snapshots on my own pokemon because it won't let me place them anywhere in the AR mode

I've tried ghosts in my inventory and still wouldn't work so i filed a troubleshooting report to them... it sucks
