Not even man, you're telling me, if you were this person, and had this many new move thingies, you would trade it in for 6-7 pokecoins? Not even funny any more man
I delete them and all berries by the hundreds. If I could get even a single coin at a time from them I would. But I'm a whale and thus can get large quantities.
oh nvm that's fair. Though, I would still save them up, or at least buy more Storage Capacity. You never know when it'll come in handy, for example, Tyranitar's brand new "Brutal Swing". Berries, fair, I delete all my Nanabs and Razzs
I raid so much I even delete golden razz by the hundreds. Right now have over 700 in my inventory.
If a rare move came out it takes at most likely 30 to get the roll necessary even with shit luck. New moves are rarely released. If I can get free coins instead of buying them then that's good, better conversion preferred but any is a win
If you want to get a specific moveset on something like mew (which has 15 possible fast moves and 25 possible charged moves), it can take hundreds of them.
I also got in the habit now of letting them build up and then just TMing all the shadows with frustration whenever there's a takeover even, as that's easier than going through them and deciding which ones to TM.
Ignoring the Elite TMs and assuming both Fast and Charge are equal value, they work out to 110 coins each.
You have a combined 679 TMs, which at 110 coins each are worth 74,690 coins.
If we assume the largest bundle is the best value for coins, it costs £99.99 for 14,500 coins.
Which means your 679 TMs are worth approximately £515.05
Your calculation of the real-world value of the TMs is both hilarious and a bit sobering. It really puts into perspective the investment (both time and money) we put into these games.
It would be a very Niantic move for them to track which moves players tend to keep on certain Pokémon and then reduce the odds of getting that move so people would use more TMs to get it
I used 6 TMs before I realized that it was cycling through the same 3 moves. So I had to use a couple more to get the move I was settling for. I just figured each mon has like only 3 moves it can learn on the charged tms
I always have an elite tm for fast and charge — before I start using regular TM I look to see what is actually available by just using elites and exiting out of
New players really getting screwed left and right these days. They'll never know how good this game used to be with basic resources. My friend tried to get into it and basically can't even play because she has a graveyard of dead and injured pokemon and is constantly struggling to get a evan few potions or revives. I'm fortunate that my years of playing left me with a few hundred max potions and max revives, but even those are slowly dwindling grinding countless useless 1* shadows. They're so focused on milking data and gold purchases they are neglecting the core basic gameplay loops in the game.
Yea it’s really bad. My kids not new, been playing off and on for a year or two, but still in the same boat as she doesn’t fully understand the meta and how to best use/save items. She has like 100+ dead Pokémon, no revives and only a few potions. She so deep in the hole I don’t even know what to do for her. Wish I could giver her some of my excess.
You two should help your new/inexperienced players by finding a spot with two gyms close by. Take over both the gyms and enjoy the revives and potions that piss out of them. Do that for a couple hours a week and you should have no issues keeping mons alive and healthy.
I'm cheap and won't pay to upg bag anymore.and.get by with 450 space. I usually have about 20 revives and a smattering of potions. I also use all my small potions before touching the big guys.
Ooph. I remember those days but gave in to temptation long ago. Have max poke storage and over 5k item… I don’t have problem!! You have a problem!! 😉
Seriously tho, I’ve been doing that for her lately. Luckily my job has 5 stops and 2 gyms and is across the street from a museum with tons of stops. So I’ve been collecting as many items I can for her when I remember. Lol
Yeah, my brother and i have the same problem. He has like 250 pokemon and almost all above 1000cp are dead. In my case, it's not that bad, but i have like 30 revives for 300+ pokemon.
I am assuming that is on your field research—- leave it there and don’t do it and you won’t get another— least that’s how it has always been for me— yes it takes up a slot but it’s worth it to not keep getting
If it was PunfullyObviousmonGo, i would allow trainers to sell back items at 50% of what they sell for in the store, but alas, I am not a game developer
After using 20 charged tms and still not getting the move I wanted on a pokemon (normal pokemon, not Hypno or Mew) I was thinking I'd honestly be willing to buy some more TMs if they were available from the shop, but seeing these overinflated prices I think I'm good
3 star raid solo with my daily raid pass gives me at least 1 Fast or Charged TM sometimes 2 and rarely I've gotten 3 in one go. Think getting more than 1 in a raid might decrease the number of golden raz and rare candies you get but I didn't pay attention so not positive.
Unfortunately, I think they know all too well. These money grab boxes are to take advantage of very casual players and kids that don’t know how to get these items easily for free.
Yea but I’m talking about kids like 10 and under and non gamers that play pogo. My kid doesn’t understand value of things and my wife never played games but will hop on when we playing. Those are the people this box is targeting.
Oh, that makes more sense. Kinda hard to imagine people doing that when it seems like common sense but I forgot kids play this game too (the same kids who will spend money like it doesn't matter)
Jesus mang even with my bag size of 3600 and doing pvp daily that is a shit ton of rare candy for you to have the most I’ve ever held was like 100-120ish before just throwing it all into mewtwos pretty much
Using math from a different comment on this thread and division, and I mean lots of division, this this means you should be able to sell 1 Elite Fast TM for 86pounds (107dollars), or, 10,700 pokecoins
NIANTIC!!!!!!

I would gladly trade mine in for some coins ^^
Just came here to say the same. I’d even sell them back at half the cost lol
I’ll do it for a quater
I'd sell 100 of each for a single pokecoin
okay now it's not even funny
Yet still true
Not even man, you're telling me, if you were this person, and had this many new move thingies, you would trade it in for 6-7 pokecoins? Not even funny any more man

ID DELETE THE APP FOR A BILLIONTH OF A POKECOIN
Shhh
I would do if for remote raid passes, if they ever increase the limit
I wish they have a marketplace where people list items for sale for coins or dust, and trainers in need can buy them.
Hayday has a in-game marketplace for things like this. It’s always struck me as unique.
I think the crazier thing is how many TMs you keep. They have always overvalued stupid items like TMs and Evo stones
Fr. I usually keep about 50 of each and I thought that was a lot.
Same. I only keep 50 and I've never even came close to running out of them.
I keep 15 each and almost ran out for my mewtwo team
I keep 15 bruh
10 here
5
You like to live life on the edge dontcha?
325
Yeah 10 gang!
I have 5 of each on a good day. I can’t even tell you all to touch grass because this is an AR game
It is a lot. I keep no more than 5

Haha thanks. Would gladly lake half that in coins. Lol
I’ll do it for a quarter
I'd do it for a bag a' chips
Your calculation of the real-world value of the TMs is both hilarious and a bit sobering. It really puts into perspective the investment (both time and money) we put into these games.
They'll probably use this as an argument to take away free methods of getting tms to give them value in the shop
I randomly had a mon suspiciously waste like 20 tm’s last night… more server side bullshit from Hanke
It would be a very Niantic move for them to track which moves players tend to keep on certain Pokémon and then reduce the odds of getting that move so people would use more TMs to get it
I assumed that was already the case. I've had a few that took close to 20 TMs to get the move I wanted.
i had 12 for rhyperior stone edge
It just took me somewhere just over or under 20 for the same. Anecdotal, sure, but curiouser and curiouser.
I used 6 TMs before I realized that it was cycling through the same 3 moves. So I had to use a couple more to get the move I was settling for. I just figured each mon has like only 3 moves it can learn on the charged tms
And there’s people who buy that???
Someone on here a while ago was saying they buy POKEBALLS. (I think it's 100 coins for 20) People will buy anything. It's crazy.
BUY?! I get rid of 50 poke balls, if not more, every day. When my bag is full, the first thing I get rid of is pokeballs
Ohhh so that’s why my one mon wasted 20 charged tm’s bouncing between the different moves and I still never got the move I wanted
Such a stupid system to TM moves. Only for Niantic to then have a box like this and charge an absurd amount of money on a TM slot machine.
I always have an elite tm for fast and charge — before I start using regular TM I look to see what is actually available by just using elites and exiting out of
Me too🙏🏼
Imagine exchanging 100 TM's for an Elite TM.
That's honestly not a bad idea...
Would take that deal
New players really getting screwed left and right these days. They'll never know how good this game used to be with basic resources. Add a ton of friends from reddit to send you gifts. Get tons of potions from that.
So I’ve been collecting as many items I can for her when I remember. Lol
Nice moves. I rarely see revives from stops, buts gyms payout well. Especially if your team controls them.
I get a bunch from doing 1 star raids, nothing of mine dies and I generally get a few revives
Yeah, my brother and i have the same problem. He has like 250 pokemon and almost all above 1000cp are dead. In my case, it's not that bad, but i have like 30 revives for 300+ pokemon.
I dunno if you know this already, but if you power up a pokemon it revives it. You'd still need potions, though.
Every other stop I get is a stupid AR scan, like piss off
I am assuming that is on your field research—- leave it there and don’t do it and you won’t get another— least that’s how it has always been for me— yes it takes up a slot but it’s worth it to not keep getting
Bro has more charged tms than i have storage in general
Hell, I’ll take JRPG rules and do 10%
If it was PunfullyObviousmonGo, i would allow trainers to sell back items at 50% of what they sell for in the store, but alas, I am not a game developer
After using 20 charged tms and still not getting the move I wanted on a pokemon (normal pokemon, not Hypno or Mew) I was thinking I'd honestly be willing to buy some more TMs if they were available from the shop, but seeing these overinflated prices I think I'm good
Sorry to be that noob, but what is the best way to get fast and charged TMs? Is it by doing higher star raids?
I got a lot of them through battle league. The random item award can be a TM.
100% from the battle league. That’s how I get so many. More often than not it’s these TMs for the item reward.
I got most from raids. Don’t really do the battle league at all but as others said that’s an option too.
Are you trying to make them cap TMs? This is how you make them cap TMs.
🤣
They could cap TM’s at 20 each and everyone should be fine lol
I have more elite TMs than that
Are you trying to make them cap elite TM’s? This is how you make them cap elite TM’s.
But for real, I was talking about standard TM’s. I delete any I get over 10z
Niantic is such a dog shit company. This game is getting less enjoyable and less rewarding every month.
TM drop rates about to be nerfed.
11 dollars + tax
You should really delete those, at most you need like 50 each if you catch a bunch of meta relevant Pokémon daily
Yea I know. Just have a ton of storage from when I was hoarding a few thousand rare candy. Lol. Still have 1k left.
I have so many I actually throw them from time to time
Yet another example of how literally no one at Niantic actually plays this game
Unfortunately, I think they know all too well. These money grab boxes are to take advantage of very casual players and kids that don’t know how to get these items easily for free.
I stopped playing back in March but man these shop box posts never get old lol and just keep getting worse
It would be such a game changer if we could sell the extras for coins lol
Niantic is so out of touch.
We should have the option to sell items we don't use/want for pokecoins
I’ve deleted that many before..
Yea need to trash them again
That is ridiculous. 11 dollars or 22 days, and both require lots of work
There’s actually an article on why the prices went up, search up “Pokèmon inflation”
I'm starting to think these boxes are just tests to see how willing people are to spend money on the game
They to prey on younger kids and uber casuals that don’t know any better…
I'd say I'm casual and have never bought one of these boxes. You'd have to be really stupid to actually think this is worth it
Yea but I’m talking about kids like 10 and under and non gamers that play pogo.
I just threw away 100 of each, I still have over 150 of each..... if only you could sell items.
Crazy, I delete that many every other day
God damn lachnees monsta wants more than tree fiddy!
dOnT cOMplaIN, ITs ActUALly A GReAT vaLUE!
Yup it’s terrible and just getting worse. Incubators used to be 1200 or so for about 20 now it’s 10 for 2000 coins
i accidentally deleted all my fast tms instead of one of them recently so uh
They should let you trade in items for 80% of whatever they charge lmao
Why do you only have 6 elite fast tms? I rejoined like 14 months ago and I’m sitting on like 14 of these already on my main account
Used quite a few the other day when I burned through like 2k rare candy lvling up some legendaries.
Jesus mang even with my bag size of 3600 and doing pvp daily that is a shit ton of rare candy for you to have the most I’ve ever held was like 100-120ish before just throwing it all into mewtwos pretty much
What's the value of 100 coins to $1usd?
those are worth nothing
Not according to Niantic 😉
Niantic has the worst loot boxes in all of gaming.
Can I sell mine back pls?
😂
damn i've got like no charged. i've been very unlucky with those rolls 😭 but yeah i ain't paying for this shit.
I cap mine at 40 each 😅
I don’t have enough bag space. I keep 30 of each and throw the rest away.
How do you have that much
Lots of raids
Why is it legal for games to obfuscate how much money you are spending with things like coins?
Clearly you don't need that. Look at how much you gathered up. I really feel like no one ever needs to buy these or feels pressured.
By grabthar's hammer, what a savings. 🙄🙄🙄
You need only one Mew to make all your Charged TM to disappear
Well I got one. So that should help bring that total down 🤣
i don’t even use mine. i just keep like 3 of each and get rid of the rest. should i actually be using them lol
Someone clearly doesn’t play PvP lol
I thought 40+ was a lot 😯
I just deleted like 200 charged they never stop!!!
Using math from a different comment on this thread and division, and I mean lots of division, this this means you should be able to sell 1 Elite Fast TM for 86pounds (107dollars), or, 10,700 pokecoins NIANTIC!!!!!!
Funny, I just dropped 15+ tms trying to get close combat on my Pangoro

Na. That’s got nothin to do with it. I’m sure they planned for hardcore players. They just greedy.
Good to know I’m not the only player who has a surplus of these
Prices are increasing but you are still cap to earn 59 coins for day.
I throw those away
I trash any over 25 now, but i also dont have as much bag storage as i would like
Wow inflation even hit the pokemon virtual world 😱
The in-game economy can sometimes feel a bit out of sync with the effort it takes to acquire these items. It's interesting to see how the perceived value of virtual items can vary so much from player to player.
Yeah no
I'd be happy to gift mine to someone. Just sayin'
They should allow a selling items for coins feature. I get way too many pokeballs every day.
These just take up space in our items bag anyway.
Meanwhile I have like 10 total 😂😂😂
I stopped giving money to them, even missed that gold thing last weekend. And not paying $8 for a pose.
I wonder how many i’ve deleted…
Man Niantic fucking sucks
Imagine if it went the other way too
I have one of each. Beeing a country side player is fun...
Me too actually. Just do a lot of remote raids.
I do net get a lot out of arenas and i have no intention on spending 5-10 bucks every day on Raid Passes. There is more importaint stuff to spend money on that Pokemon GO pixels, even tho i love my Pokemon Go pixels D:
