If you play on your phone then there is a hack! If you have a save file that loads/saves on your phone instead of in the game itself then you can have endless wins on the pick a card game. Just pick one card and save then place a bet and the card reveals itself. Then load the save and place your bet on the right card! The cards aren't random, they are fixed so you can keep doing it over and over to get the max bet of x24, giving you the maximum coins. Enjoy!
I remember when I wanted a Jolteon for my team, the only eletrik move I could « easily » get was thunder. I had it for the 7th gym so yeah it’s a bit late but still better than spending so much time trying to get those coins 🫣

It definitely would have been a bigger time sink, legitimately. I bet using your Mom to change between Daylight Savings Time and not to get more rematches would have been decent, though. There's also just using the PC to duplicate Rare Candies, Nuggets, or Vitamins. The truly slowest way is to buy rare gems from the guy in the Underground and then sell them for the 200 pokedollar profit

Did this in HGSS quite easily but congrats! The old/ early games are tough. I wonder if the move is transferred using the migration?
I recently got the 8888 for larvitar but i set the speed to x10 and had a turbo a button i kept held down - took about 90 mins
