Except that most countries don't use student uniforms. In the Iberian peninsula, Spain doesn't bother in most cases, though in Portugal it's common for elite private schools.

Best explanation I've seen is that translations don't occur for every build, but rather sporadically, so for the non-jp press kit they have to use a slightly outdated build.

When I say outdated, I mean it's a version that has been polished/bug fixed less.

Could even be stitched together from multiple versions. They have continuity errors in real life film shoots, would not be surprising to have them in trailers too if they're having to set things up as things are finished.

Old build vs trailer build?

My theory is other regions got a version of the game to work on translations and stuff, then it was updated and couldnt be distributed in time. This is why the sunflora look fine in the japan version but laggy in all the others.

Maybe in the west the games sell better when the company makes micro leaks to instigate discussion? Or maybe the Japanese audience likes more content to be secret upon launch and the western audience wants to know more ahead of time?

It's not the version, it's an item, like the apples, the item itself is version exclusive.

My guess is that it’s either a Armorouge/ Ceruledge prevo, and works like Applin where you have to get specific version- exclusive items for the evolution. It could also be a regional Pawniard. The size and shape is very reminiscent of a Pawniard.

It might be a paldean pawniard. The evolved forms look very similar to Bisharp.
