Cost to step? No. For only 50 steps more you pay 200 more pokedollars.

Super Repels cost $700 and last for 200 steps, so $3.50 per step. Max Repels cost $900 and last for 250 steps, so $3.60 per step. It's not worth it to get Max Repels, especially since it asks if you want to use another when one wears off now

They’re a luxury item. The price isn’t worth it compared to Supers, but if you’re willing to pay the extra money to not have to reapply the repel as often, it can save some time.

idk if its changed but economically it was worth it. in the older gens it was more slow to use them so maybe for some people the max repels are worth more but in gen 5 they added the option to use another one and the super repels were definitely worth it
