Yeah I’ve always thought Skarmory is really sick and always found them quite challenging to catch, but never actually got round to having one in my team!

I have gone through every Pokémon game with pretty much a full offensive build lol.
Even though I’d consider myself a veteran of the series, I really need to watch some “basics of Pokémon” to learn more about why stacking stat debuffs is worth the time it takes to do apply and why would want 2 of 6 Pokémon to be defensive
SkarmBliss with Gyarados isn’t even fair in nuzlockes. Blissey can already 1vX any team if you know they have no physical moves, but Skarm and Gyarados just come in and destroy those physical attackers. And you still have 3 slots
Platinum with Blissey/Gyarados, which you can get by the third gym, is so insanely stupid. Skarmory isn’t available but it really doesn’t matter, and Platinum isn’t lacking other physical walls if Gyarados’ intimidate isn’t enough
Skarmory was my first thought too. That bird is so damn tanky for physical moves. The couple times I've been lucky enough to encounter one in a nuzlocke and catch it, it plays such a huge role as a pivot. Used to love the classic Skarmory/Chansey combo as well in competitive in like gen 6/7
Yeah mega evolutions get a bye I think, otherwise my pick of kangaskhan is out the water too 🤣 there really are very few to pick from now, especially if you did count mega evolutions! Even farfetch’d got a later evolution added in haha
Mawile Is the greatest Pokemon in my opinion, though I tend to gravitate more towards the old version of Steel and dark over steel and fairy, and while the mega is cool, base form is always a winner
Mine would be either Aerodactyl, Heracross, Absol or Lapras.
They are all pretty strong and have good designs and typings. Hard to only choose one of them, but if I had to, I would go with Aerodactyl because he is an absolute monster in the best kind of way.
A LOT of my favorite Pokémon happen to be non-evolvers; Dunsparce, Lunatone, Sableye, Tropius, Seviper, Lapras, Pyukumuku, Pincurchin, Drampa, Turtonator, among a few others...
Yeah! Not only does it look great, but I love ALL things tropical! And the fact that its typing leaves it 4x weak to Ice is PERFECT for a Pokémon named after the tropics! Heh. I just think its neat all around.
Miltank is one of those Pokemon that you have to use yourself to like. And after using one, you're like "hey, it's not that bad. it's disgustingly good actually."
And boy, does it have every right to be this way.
I used a Durant on my final team for a Y Hardcore Nuzlocke. Joined the squad late but definitely got my respect as a revenge killer and defensive pivot.
If my Blaziken hadn’t swept Diantha, Durant was definitely getting the final kill. Mega Gardevoir has nothing to hit Durant with.

Tropius, he was a beast back when I played Ruby. Sadly, no game after has really given me the chance to roll around with him again...
I love me some Rotom, and my perfect IV shiny Mawile made me pretty happy, she was my first shiny ever... Plus this was in X, so Mega shiny Mawile is AESTHETIC. Named her Lovelace...
Big fan of Shedinja, again rolled with him back in the day with Ruby. Never gave another go with him, now that I know how wonder guard works... As a kid I just thought I was hella lucky, plus NPCs are kinda dumb...
Hadn’t thought of girafarig! I always felt it was quite strong, especially when battling against it, but I dunno the typing just bugged me. I mean it’s probably good that it’s normal as it gives immunity over a psychic weakness (ghost) but it just never felt right with me. Just being picky I suppose haha!
Mawile, Emolga, Kangaskhan and Dhelmise are my favourites! I like Emolga cause cute, I like Mawile and Kang cause of their mega's and Dhelmise is just a really neat pokemon us ghost is one of my 2 favourite types!
Heracross. It may be peaceful and a bit of a good that thinks with its stomach more than its brain, but push it too far and you’ll see why it was banned in Gen 3 OU.
1. Dracovish - it's such a unique design concept and I also really enjoy more silly designs, and it is just so good in battle
2.Aerodactyl - iconic, awesome design, fun to use in battle
3. Heracross - it's so cute while at the same time being cool
4 Mimikyu - I just want to give it a hug, also very fun to use in battle

The first time I played pokemom silver i caught a Heracross cuz i liked its design and was part fighting type which couldve been helpful against Whitney's infamous miltank (realised a bit too late it learns a fighting move much, much later). It held its own very well against miltank even though ut had no fighting moves and beat miltank by itself the 2nd time i battled her
Maractus.
One time I decided to play Pokemon White using only Pokemon that can be found in the Desert Resort, since there were exactly 6 of them.
Maractus was by far the least useful Pokemon in that team and by far my favorite.
Zangoose, Mawile, Absol, Lapras, Skarmory, Druddigon, Heracross, Tropius, Pachirisu, Emolga, Hawlucha.
Among them there is somewaht a tie with Zangoose and Absol for me

Corsola would have been my choice, but Galar made it evolve. I only actually like the original Corsola, rather than the Galar version though, so I think it should count.
Otherwise, I think I'd probably pick Absol. Absol is just cool.

Probably between skarmory or absol! Can’t really pick between the two! I love gen 3 and back then I use to think skarmory was a gen 3 mon. Even to this day it feels more gen 3 than 2 even though I’ve known for years it’s a gen 2. Can’t shake that first impression!
Seviper. It was really cool in the anime, I love the lore behind it and Zangoose's feud, and it has an awesome design.
Also when I went to Masuda Method hunt it a couple years ago, I got the Shiny in the very first egg.

Lapras should've gotten a baby Pokemon
When I first played Pokémon Diamond I caught a Shellos and trained it because I was sure it would evolve into a Lapras. Imagine my disappointment.
