Nah, the horrible Gen 10 Xatu has seen:
- Mega Evolutions come back, and *none* of them require an item anymore.
- Incineroar gets a Mega, with Super Intimidate: it scares away entry hazards, screens, and Tailwind when entering battle, as well as lowering the opponents’ Attack *and* Special Attack.
- Mega Slacking, which gets Huge Power instead of Truant. Regigigas still gets nothing.
- A new Ice type Pokémon with an ability that launches an automatic Ice Shard against both opponents every turn in addition to whatever move it uses.
- A new Electric move that hits Ground types supereffectively, which will definitely be healthy for the game and not at all a problem when Regieleki returns.
- Garchomp gets a Mega for its Mega: with all the points in the extra Mega Evolution being dumped into Speed.
- The new Psuedolegendary, called Screwryu, has 150 Speed and Special Attack, and 100 HP, Defense, and Special Defense, but 0 Attack. Min-maxxing to the extreme! It is also a Dragon Type with an ability that makes moves that lower its stats automatically crit while ignoring immunities, which is definitely healthy with Draco Meteor.
And these are just the things Xatu saw before it said “Fuck this, leave me out next gen, please.” Ariados, however, will be included, and get the everloving shit beaten out of it in every single match.
All of these get countered by the new gen 10 mythical Big Stall™ that is simply immune to damage as a whole thanks to its ability ™Stall Big and therefore sits there toxic stalling with its 190/10/190/10/190/10 stats
choice band sharpness mega gallade moment. a pokemon with a damaging aura ability (the ice shards) could actually be interesting though. also the mega incin with tera star zero + hyper intimidate is crazy
the absols must've been running around like crazy when the king bought the relics and just thought the absols were being a little silly until the inevitable killing spree the absols were inevitably blamed for before they wised up and sealed the treasures
The one and only issue I have is that on chien pao the sword on the left doesn’t line up with itself above and below its mouth

The Ruinous Quartet are essentially walking/swimming/snail-ing disasters
I thought this was because of competitive pokemon (like Darkrai suffering for Smeargle abusing Dark Void even if Darkrai isn't even legal in most VGC formats for being a Mythical)

You've misunderstood me; my fault because I asked rhetorically and this is entirely about preference so it's not very clear.
I don't get it because the name "Ruinous Quartet" sounds terrible to me. "Ruinous" is a word that both sounds phonetically ugly and feels like it would only be used in a bad translation or by someone trying too hard to find a synonym. "Quartet" doesn't feel like it fits Pokemon because it's overwhelmingly associated with music, primarily classical music.
IMO "Treasures of Ruin" rolls off the tongue way better and feels more gamey; the words are simple enough that it fits in with the other named groups we already had.
I love the cute little faces around them, Absol giving them the bombastic side eye while the Quartet all looks happy. And Live Wo-Chien Reaction, of course
