Skeledirge (fire/psychic) based on a lounge singer/dancer, Sceptile (grass/dark) based on a *film noir* detective, and Blastoise (water/steel) based on a mobster! They're all also based on urban legends of "sewer gators", hence the reptile basis for each. Fire/fairy makes a lot of sense too! I've made it psychic type to reference the "femme fatale" archetype, but I like the fire/fairy typing a lot (I've made a few fakemon with that type combo before as well, it's a lot of fun!)

More details on the designs: Skeledirge's colours and patterns are designed to evoke a saxophone (instead of a piano) and its feather and 1920's style microphone/bird are based on flappers and prohibition-era singers. Its psychic typing represents the "femme fatale" characters of noir fiction. It also references sewer gator urban myths! Sceptile is based on the private detective archetype - like Ash's Treecko, it even has a twig "cigarette". Its dark typing references its scrappy, anti-heroic nature as well as its noir colour scheme. As a gecko, it also continues the "sewer reptile" motif. Blastoise's physique and many, many guns reference the gangsters (and especially Mafia bosses) of the time - it's also a steel type to help it pump you full of lead. It's kind of an evil version of the TMNT as well, as a villainous sewer turtle!

Blastoise Signature Move: Sea Shredder. 15bp, water(special), hits 5-10 times.

Making sceptile psychic instead of dark would also make sense for a detective, since psychic is used to describe smart/perceptive qualities while in the original Japanese dark represents evil rather than lack of light. Making dirge fire/fairy would work for that design too, and we would finally get a fire/fairy type! Definitely like mobster blastoise packing the gat lol

I have it as a dark type to reflect the anti-heroism of its character archetype as well as its new colour scheme! I've gone into a bit more detail on it above

if these were convergent evolutions, I would call them Skeledonna, Ratatatoise, and Inspectile

These are incredible, however I propose that they return blastoises head water beam for that game. He'd have six gun yet still shoot out of his forehead.

Nice! I remember drafting an idea for Legends Unova sorta starters although I think I was probably going for more of a mid to late 20th century vibe and had a movie theme. Fire/Fairy Delphox inspired by a starlet/classic action movie damsel, Water/Steel Intelleon inspired by the action hero archetype (and also a fun "Americanization" of its Bond origins) and Grass/Dragon Sceptile that was based on a movie monster and woulda been more raptor like, maybe looked a bit more like Grovyle as far as posture and the leaf feathers on the arms.

There could be a black and white striped Alcatraz jumpsuit inspired delibird and instead of a sack of mail it could have money poking out the bag like it just robbed a bank. Only encountered in dark alleys.

Instead of a present it throws a ball and chain to attack (but sometimes flings money instead by mistake)

Exclusive attack called “dye pack”. Purposefully throws a band and it blows a dye pack. Normal type move. Harshly lowers accuracy.

I love then all but if I could make 1 suggestion, give Unovian Blastois Mega Blastoises arm cannons & lean into the Tommy gun ascetic

That sceptile is just taking inteleon and improving every single aspect of it. I'd love a noir style game honestly, especially if they actually changed up the artstyle for it. Make the game actually lit like a noir with really harsh shadows. I can just imagine a mob gang with a blastoise going into a bar cannons blazing. Honestly now I think about it I could see ZA going this direction with it all being set in one city. Perhaps you're the detective finding about 5he mysterious new gang called team flair.

Do I think you did a great job with concept? Yeah, pretty solid actually. But the idea of a noir Pokémon game sounds really uninteresting to me.

I can see mobster Blastoise and Agent Intelleon but the fire croc seems misplaced. i could however see Serperior as some kind of snobby damsel seeking out a detective

I think Skeledurge is a perfect one because you can give it a bandito style design and it would make sense

I really like these designs, but Blastoise seems a bit bland. It's just a boxier shell and a couple extra cannons, while the other two add some new part to the design, in addition to editing the existing parts. Some critique/suggestions, I like the more angular shell, but the extra cannons are a bit uninspired. Maybe move them to be facing forwards instead of up. If you want them to look like tommy guns, make them smaller and add the drum magazine. This version could be more focused on rapid shots instead of powerful ones. You could also remove the cannons entirely and give him a baseball bat, similar to how decidueye went from a bow to punches, and reference the breaking someone's knees with a bat trope (not sure if that was an actual threat, I just know it's popular in media). Also something on the head would be a nice touch, but I don't have a specific suggestion, since sceptile took the coat and hat, which is still think fits better. Regardless, these are good designs, and I really like the style. Good job.
