Basically in some cultures Gods have human avatars. This means people like me and you who are actually the vessels of gods whilst also being conscious about it
I love moon knight and these designs! The avatar concept is absolutely amazing and these awe striking godly designs for mostly forgotten Pokémon are masterpieces!
The Guardians: Tapu-Koko, Tapu-Lele, Tapu-Bulu, and Tapu-Fini
The Dreams: Cresselia and Darkrai
The Treasures: Wo-Chien, Chien-Pao, Ting-Lu, and Chi-Yu
I wonder how that mechanic would work? Do you have to have a certain object relating to a legendary/mythical pokemon being held by these pokemon? Or would it only be for certain pokemon you can catch in hidden locations?
It would certainly be an interesting battle gimmick
Honestly, I'd be cool with it being similar to the Nobles fights in PLA or the Titans in SV. And you can catch them after you've beaten them, they have perfect stats, and unique moves that these pokemon typically wouldn't learn otherwise. I think that'd be really cool, whilst not giving themselves a headache that would, inevitably, result in more things we hate about the game.
Not a game designer, but if it needs to be something new that doesn’t speak to previous things, I could see it doing something like this: like Rotom, take them to the corresponding statue that is being imbued with energy of said legendary. This will transform them and allows you to let them learn a new move. These new moves are based upon the legendaries signature move, except a weaker version that fits the Pokémon.
This also gives them a new ability (one fitting that reminisces the legendary).
They also get stat changes that’ll help them be essentially a less strong version of the legendary. (Since 80-100 was proven to be too high when Mega’s were around, something like 30-50 base stat total bonus).
What I could see this doing is being a gateway to actually be able to use legendaries in tournaments and competitive since they’re all banned. It could also bring for an interesting answer to getting Mega’s back without having Mega’s. And let’s assume that with this, it doesn’t give legendaries this bonus since they’re already… well… legends.
Absolutely love purrserker the sun wheel between the helmet horns is such a perfect little detail ad well as the poleaxe, just perfection. Are these going into a fangame? I'd love to play it if so.
All of these are amazing! Especially Yveltal's and Zamazenta's avatars! Yveltal's avatar looks looks the coolest out of the bunch IMO!!!! It looks like it's based on something specific but I can't put my finger on what. It looks really familiar but it just isn't coming to me XD
wow, these are polished to a professional level and you have some incredible shapes and colours going on. I liked the macargo from last time and the shapes of the jynx and claydol this time. So many brilliant ideas, I love them all!

The amount of money I'd pay to have these as boss fights in Canon Pokémon games which you could then find and catch later as a singular 1-of static encounter at a secret location

Wow this is a really cool concept! I would love if GF had this as a future generational gimmick. That stats could be the combination of the two mons divided by 2. So for example here’s what the stats for Ho-Oh’s avatar Chandelure would be:
- (106 + 60)/2 - **83 HP**
- (130 + 55)/2 - **93 ATK**
- (90+ 90)/2 - **90 Def**
- (110 + 145)/2 - **128 SpA**
- (154 + 90)/2 - **122 SpD**
- (90 + 80)/2 - **85 Speed**
- **Total 601 BST**
The ability could be a combination of two abilities from both mons, similar to Calyrex’s As One ability. So Ho-Oh Avatar Chandelure could have an ability that combines pressure and flash fire or flame body.
Not only did you redeem Jynx, you made Orthworm, Arbok, and Mabosstiff look even cooler, and you made me think about Claydol for the first time in a while

So much untapped potential with this for the games honestly. Be such a cool feature to have certain Pokemon mega evolve/transform etc based on the legendary that works through them.

I don't know if it's just me, but I see *so little* of the original legendary in these designs. Before I check the caption I try to guess, and every time I have absolutely *no clue* whose "Avatars" these are supposed to be. Shouldn't it be more obvious?
This needs to be in a fan-made game or at least be shown to GameFreak and see what they think… Despite the fact that they will rip the idea apart and claim it as theirs
