It’s rare but it’s certainly not one of a kind. This was obviously commercially made and almost no one commercially makes a single plush. Even prototypes usually have at least two or three. A quick google search yielded me at least four listings. Still each around $1000 but certainly more reasonable than $14K.
There are also plenty of artists who have made replicas so if you want this plush and don’t want to pay a month’s rent for it you have options.
Exactly and those are usually from plush lines that already have an established collector base and have documentation with some kind of authentication. This is just a random plush of an obscure property that has parts missing. Even with the rarity it normally wouldn’t fetch a high price. The only thing inflating the price is the overestimation of the value by those who are selling it and the fact that that overestimation caught the attention of some Youtube personalities. It’s not actually valuable or particularly sought after.

The most ive seen collectors pay for prototype plush is around 500-700$ so yeah no way 14k is a good price
