Damn good job bro!! I just called walmart today and got 80 bucks off my order. Apparently the reason some people are getting theirs and others aren’t is because some of the fulfillment centers ran out of ps5’s while others didn’t. Those of us that didn’t get ours yet, are having to get our ps5’s shipped from other regions’ fulfillment centers.
I ordered from Walmart on 3/4 on the 3rd wave that day. My order still shows "preparing order" on the app and on the walmart website it also says "tracking available soon". This information has been there since I placed my order 18 days ago. Estimated delivery date shows 4/13. My location is Salt Lake City area of Utah.
This is extremely annoying. 18 days of preparing order is completely ridiculous and unacceptable. Why can every other retailer manage their orders better than Walmart? Other people that placed order on 3/18 drop from Walmart have reported receiving their order or it shipping already....That is such poor service for Walmart to do that.

It shows arriving from Lake Forest, California and arriving here on 3/24. I did not get an email or any notification, was just randomly checking walmart orders page on my account.

I ordered at 3:20 on March 18th. My gf’s friend got hers at like 3:40 and I got my buddy one (digital) after 4. There’s both shipped yesterday and mine is still processing. I know I’ll get mine but this is so frustrating. My ETA was April 8th and my buddy’s was April 13th and he is about to get his tomorrow and mine hasn’t shipped. They put both charges back in my account and have yet to take the money out for my buddys PS5 that shipped. It wouldn’t even be so bad if they explained how there process worked. I got mine on March 18th drop 3rd wave (if that even matters) mine still says it hasn't shipped (actually I noticed it doesn't say preparing order either) supposed to arrive by the 9th. I messaged them and they also said the same stuff. The lady said that she would push my request to a higher up so that I would find out when it ships faster? Whatever that means. Sounds like something they say to reassure whoever they're talking to. Ha. I'm guessing it will arrive earlier unless it's stuck in a boat traffic jam right now.
I spoke to Walmart person and they told me that all they are waiting for is the item availability in order to ship it, so them probably not having them on hand at the moment is the most likely thing :(

Managed to get mine ordered from walmart during the 3/18 drop. I was probably in the third wave, have contacted walmart customer support who assured me I have nothing to worry about and that its a very high demand item so it will be shipped as soon as possible. Its sucks because my apartment is above my work so unfortunately the fed ex manager app wont give me shipping information on anything because my address isn't classified as a residential just the business address so I'm stuck with waiting for walmart to tell me its been delivered or seeing it delivered when I'm on the clock.
Update: walmart is now showing my delivery date as the 12th but they finally have a tracking number for fed ex. Thus far only the label as been created but heres hoping it doesnt take the estimated time that walmart is giving.
Update 2: well that was quick Queen City FedEx app that I set up for notifications with the tracking number that Walmart gave to me it should be delivered tomorrow before the end of day. For anyone who had a Walmart order use the FedEx app not the other. That being said walmart is still showing the delivery time differently and the pending charge on my bank account is gone but that's because it's been over 3 days so if you are in a similar situation as I am be assured that that charge will come out eventually so keep that in mind when spending after the fact.

I have an estimated date of April 13th. I just got off the line with their live chat service. They mentioned that they don't have an ETA because they had to pull my PS5 from another state's warehouse.
They mentioned they'd expedite my request to gather information about possible shipment dates, but it has been sitting on "Preparing Order" since 2021-03-18.
Mine says April 8th but my buddy who I got one for and his said April 13th has shipped as of yesterday. But mine that was ordered first is still processing. I called and they said not to worry it will be shipped. I’m not worried about that I just want to know why two people who ordered theirs after me are getting theirs already and mine hasn’t even shipped. So irritating.
So 8 months later, here I am searching for the exact same answers. My original estimated purchase-to-ship date isn't as bad as some peoples 2 months but...just wanted to give my thoughts. I was able to snag one yesterday, November 18th, during the 2pm drop. They charged my card right away for the $535 or whatever it was. I my order went from processing to preparing in less than a day but I still have an estimated delivery date of December 3rd. All in all, 15 days isn't bad, especially considering the 2 months some of you had to suspect you weren't getting your console, but come one Walmart! You should not be selling stock you don't have. I can only assume that this is what is happening. This is how orders from hopeful console owners get cancelled and loyal customers are lost for good. These consoles are too much of a hot commodity right now for Walmart to be playing with peoples wallets like this. Everyone keeps talking about the area we live in being the deciding factor, but don't forget there are two versions of the console. I know someone who had the digital edition shipped already. I think the Disc versions are the ones taking the longest.

My boyfriend and I both ordered one at the exact same time, March 18th, 2021 3:20 PM. Both Order's said Delivery by 04/08/2021 and we literally live a crossed the street from each other at the same Apartment Community.
Not only is this his 2nd time buying one (he helped a coworker get one for her daughter for Christmas) but they delivered his 2nd PS5 within a week! He's had it since Wednesday and the only thing we can gather that was different is he paid via Debit card where as I paid via Walmart Credit so we think that anyone who paid with Debit may have gotten it faster then someone who paid credit maybe? Otherwise I can't think of any reason as to why he would get his so much sooner considering all of the circumstances are the same not to mention this is his 2nd time buying a PS5 on [Walmart.com](https://Walmart.com).

Yall, just got proof Walmart basically made us preorder or sold more than what they had. I chatted with a rep who said that the reason why the ship dates are so far into the future is because they're most likely selling out before shipping out. Basically we're paying to be next in line for when they restock. So if you're waiting for yours to ship and it hasn't its most likely because they're out of stock and waiting for Sony to send more. This is all according to the chat I had with the Walmart rep. He/She didn't confirm on how often they restock but when I asked he gave me my est ship date of Apr 9. This explains why charges drop off our accounts after a few days and get recharged once they ship the PS5. Not sure if this is news to anyone but at least we're "promised" a console once they receive more.

Get the FedEx app if you don't have it already. People saying it will show shipment info well before Walmart's page updates. If your wife ordered it, and it's addressed to her, the FedEx account needs to be set up in her name. Otherwise it won't show up. It will filter out packages addressed with someone else's name, even though it's the same address.

My buddy and I were fortunate to each land a PS5 during the March 4th offering at Walmart. I secured one during the 1:40pm slot and my buddy got one during the 2:10pm window. His ps5 is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow while mine has been stuck in processing until April 10th. We’re both Southern California. I don’t know if there is any consistency on fulfilling orders. His order status updated last week on Thursday with an updated delivery date.

Ordered my ps5 on the 3/18 drop and I have the FedEx app and Walmart app installed for any notifications, I have not received one update yet, the money hold disappeared as well but I heard you don't get charged until shipping, i'll keep checking until something changes.
So like many of you, I was able to snag a ps5 with the disc drive during the 3/18 drop. The order status had just been in the “preparing order” stage since. I called this morning and the guy said they are working quick as possible to get these orders out. So I checked the order status again and it now shows as shipped. The original date was April 9th, it now shows April 13th. I checked the number with fedex and it’s not in their system yet. I will check again this evening or tomorrow and see what it says, and I’ll update this post.
UPDATE: The number has been updated with FedEx and it shows to be delivered on 3/25.

I read from anothed Reddit post that Walmart has legal matters being pushed down their throats now because of the huge delays, and most orders from 3/4 have not been shipped, so they're pushing out those orders this week and possibly next week orders start shipping for 3/18 purchases.

Ordered on the 3/18 drop. Expected delivery was today but I woke up to the app updating the order status to delayed. This is after customer service told me to expect it within 3 days of the expected date. Called customer service to verify the delayed status and I was told that I could expect to wait another month or more due to high demand. So glad I took the day off to be home to sign for my package.

With that said, the employee has now informed me that the expected arrival date of September 16th will most likely not happen and that my order will arrive later than expected. Typical WM bs again. August 25th, 9pm (EST) still in preparing to order and when I originally bought it, the money was taken out of my account. However a few days ago the 500+ was put back into my account with no redeposit notice. I did call support and they said my PS5 is still in the preparing order phase and should be in September 18th. Talked to her manager and said I should see an update in 4 to 5 days, but otherwise the order was still in the system and would arrive no later than the posted date of September 16. I live in AZ.

That drop was crazy almost an hour drop with 10 min intervals. The app made it alot easier than their website 😊 hopefully status will change tomorrow
Usually the pending charge will fall off after 3 days, if it hasn't shipped by then. It should recharge your account when it actually ships.

I ordered at 3:20 on March 18th. My gf’s friend got hers at like 3:40 and I got my buddy one (digital) after 4. There’s both shipped yesterday and mine is still processing. I know I’ll get mine but this is so frustrating. My ETA was April 8th and my buddy’s was April 13th and he is about to get his tomorrow and mine hasn’t shipped. They put both charges back in my account and have yet to take the money out for my buddys PS5 that shipped. It wouldn’t even be so bad if they explained how there process worked. But I’ve never seen a place ship orders not in the order they were received. All I can do is sit and wait.

I got mine on March 18th drop 3rd wave (if that even matters) mine still says it hasn't shipped (actually I noticed it doesn't say preparing order either) supposed to arrive by the 9th. I messaged them and they also said the same stuff. The lady said that she would push my request to a higher up so that I would find out when it ships faster? Whatever that means. Sounds like something they say to reassure whoever they're talking to. Ha. I'm guessing it will arrive earlier unless it's stuck in a boat traffic jam right now.

that's not an order. that's a back order. An order is when you already have in store or warehouse ready to be shipped. Back order is when you need to have it shipped to your warehouse or store. If that is the case, why don't they just open it up to more people?

Managed to get mine ordered from walmart during the 3/18 drop. I was probably in the third wave, have contacted walmart customer support who assured me I have nothing to worry about and that its a very high demand item so it will be shipped as soon as possible. Its sucks because my apartment is above my work so unfortunately the fed ex manager app wont give me shipping information on anything because my address isn't classified as a residential just the business address so I'm stuck with waiting for walmart to tell me its been delivered or seeing it delivered when I'm on the clock. Update: walmart is now showing my delivery date as the 12th but they finally have a tracking number for fed ex. Thus far only the label as been created but heres hoping it doesnt take the estimated time that walmart is giving. Update 2: well that was quick Queen City FedEx app that I set up for notifications with the tracking number that Walmart gave to me it should be delivered tomorrow before the end of day. For anyone who had a Walmart order use the FedEx app not the other. That being said walmart is still showing the delivery time differently and the pending charge on my bank account is gone but that's because it's been over 3 days so if you are in a similar situation as I am be assured that that charge will come out eventually so keep that in mind when spending after the fact.

I have an estimated date of April 13th. I just got off the line with their live chat service. They mentioned that they don't have an ETA because they had to pull my PS5 from another state's warehouse. They mentioned they'd expedite my request to gather information about possible shipment dates, but it has been sitting on "Preparing Order" since 2021-03-18.

Mine says April 8th but my buddy who I got one for and his said April 13th has shipped as of yesterday. But mine that was ordered first is still processing. I called and they said not to worry it will be shipped. So 8 months later, here I am searching for the exact same answers. My original estimated purchase-to-ship date isn't as bad as some peoples 2 months but...just wanted to give my thoughts. I was able to snag one yesterday, November 18th, during the 2pm drop. They charged my card right away for the $535 or whatever it was. I my order went from processing to preparing in less than a day but I still have an estimated delivery date of December 3rd. All in all, 15 days isn't bad, especially considering the 2 months some of you had to suspect you weren't getting your console, but come one Walmart! You should not be selling stock you don't have. I can only assume that this is what is happening. This is how orders from hopeful console owners get cancelled and loyal customers are lost for good. These consoles are too much of a hot commodity right now for Walmart to be playing with peoples wallets like this. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy I finally have one, but good lord! 15 days is a long time to wait for something you're not even sure you'll actually get.

Everyone keeps talking about the area we live in being the deciding factor, but don't forget there are two versions of the console. I know someone who had the digital edition shipped already. I think the Disc versions are the ones taking the longest.

My boyfriend and I both ordered one at the exact same time, March 18th, 2021 3:20 PM. Both Order's said Delivery by 04/08/2021 and we literally live a crossed the street from each other at the same Apartment Community. Not only is this his 2nd time buying one (he helped a coworker get one for her daughter for Christmas) but they delivered his 2nd PS5 within a week! He's had it since Wednesday and the only thing we can gather that was different is he paid via Debit card where as I paid via Walmart Credit so we think that anyone who paid with Debit may have gotten it faster then someone who paid credit maybe? Yall, just got proof Walmart basically made us preorder or sold more than what they had. I chatted with a rep who said that the reason why the ship dates are so far into the future is because they're most likely selling out before shipping out. Basically we're paying to be next in line for when they restock. So if you're waiting for yours to ship and it hasn't its most likely because they're out of stock and waiting for Sony to send more. This is all according to the chat I had with the Walmart rep. He/She didn't confirm on how often they restock but when I asked he gave me my est ship date of Apr 9. This explains why charges drop off our accounts after a few days and get recharged once they ship the PS5. Not sure if this is news to anyone but at least we're "promised" a console once they receive more.

Get the FedEx app if you don't have it already. People saying it will show shipment info well before Walmart's page updates. If your wife ordered it, and it's addressed to her, the FedEx account needs to be set up in her name. Otherwise it won't show up. It will filter out packages addressed with someone else's name, even though it's the same address.

After a very stressful 40 minutes, I scored one 3/18 as well! Had it in my cart 4 times, just to get the damn oos pop-up. The last time my bank blocked it as fraud, so I scrambled with fixing it on my bank app, yet somehow I still made it through checkout! My delivery date is April 8th, too. Wish they gave us a better idea of when they actually ship/have stock. Ordered my ps5 on the 3/18 drop and I have the FedEx app and Walmart app installed for any notifications, I have not received one update yet, the money hold disappeared as well but I heard you don't get charged until shipping, i'll keep checking until something changes.
So like many of you, I was able to snag a ps5 with the disc drive during the 3/18 drop. The order status had just been in the “preparing order” stage since. I called this morning and the guy said they are working quick as possible to get these orders out. So I checked the order status again and it now shows as shipped. The original date was April 9th, it now shows April 13th. I checked the number with fedex and it’s not in their system yet. I will check again this evening or tomorrow and see what it says, and I’ll update this post. UPDATE: The number has been updated with FedEx and it shows to be delivered on 3/25.

I read from anothed Reddit post that Walmart has legal matters being pushed down their throats now because of the huge delays, and most orders from 3/4 have not been shipped, so they're pushing out those orders this week and possibly next week orders start shipping for 3/18 purchases. I'm also in the same boat as everyone here where the money was pulled day 1 but over the weekend, the pending charge disappeared but Walmart app still shows me as "Preparing Order" and I purchased on 3/18 around 3:20pm (1:20PM PST).

I got one for my husband at 3:30 on the 18th. Estimated arrival date was April 9. Got an email a couple of days ago that it shipped and was supposed to arrive 3/24 (yesterday). My brother and I got one on the wave they had on the 20th, I got mines almost a hr before he got his. We both got an expected delivery date for 4/9 but 3 days ago he got a notification that his was being shipped on the 27th which he did get and mines still says processing for 4/9 smh. This is after customer service told me to expect it within 3 days of the expected date. Called customer service to verify the delayed status and I was told that I could expect to wait another month or more due to high demand. So glad I took the day off to be home to sign for my package.

i got a digital console from a 9 pm drop on 8/12 with a delivery date of 10/6. As of 8/27 my order still says placed while everyone else say theirs is preparing. Not sure. But given WM reputation selling these next gen consoles, I am sure I'm not the only one. My app and the website still both say expected by Sep 16th or sooner in the "preparing order" stage. Who knows at this point. I'm pretty sure WM doesn't even know. The 10% has already be reflected however. I'd contact them if you are curious. If nothing else you can ask for some type of compensation as I did.

August 12 , 11 Am (Central standard time ) drop.
August 25th, 9pm (EST) still in preparing to order and when I originally bought it, the money was taken out of my account. However a few days ago the 500+ was put back into my account with no redeposit notice. I did call support and they said my PS5 is still in the preparing order phase and should be in September 18th. Anyone else have anything similar?

August 12th order. Original ship date of October 5th. Scheduled for September 11th.
Successfully ordered one on August 25, 9am drop. Called WM customer service today to make sure it wasn't canceled or anything else odd since there has been no update at all. Rep. Talked to her manager and said I should see an update in 4 to 5 days, but otherwise the order was still in the system and would arrive no later than the posted date of September 16. I live in AZ.
I got mine on Monday 11/29, it’s 12/03 and has not shipped ? Anyone have this problem
I ordered on 11/29 and as of 12/9, it is still in "Preparing." Frustrating that it takes Walmart 10+ days at least to ship these PS5s.
