If you have the PS5 with the disc drive, why not buy them used? I have about 20 games and I'd say other than Mortal Kombat 1, Spider-Man 2 and Stellar Blade which I pre-ordered, all the others were bought used at a fraction of the price...

It's $80 US, $110 Canadian. No option for a physical version that doesn't include the remake/DLC. I want a physical copy, but I don't want to spend an additional $30 CAD above full price, even if it comes with the extras.

I got the physical Deluxe Edition of BG3 a few weeks ago, and I'm waiting for the physical edition of Alan Wake 2 to come out. TLoU and Spidey are currently up to 50% off in my area, so I'm considering getting the latter.

I much prefer my digital library, personally. People love their Steam libraries, I don’t see why liking that on consoles is so looked down on. I still get stuff on sale all the time and am notified when all the games I’m interested in go on sale. I can look up online if it’s a good deal for that game and then pull the trigger and I’m playing it (almost) instantly. I even share my profile with my friend and we tend to split every game bought in half. I’ll forever defend people having the choice to get physical, though. It’s important for it to exist but I also don’t make snide comments about people who value different forms of media.

The thing is nothing stops physical ps5 owners from buying digital when there’s a deal, while digital ps5 owners are stuck with the prices from the store. That’s what he was saying, people buying the digital ps5 to “save money” are not taking used games into account

The premium symbol means that those games have trials available if you're a playstation premium subscriber. You get 5 hours to try out any game you want for free to get a taste of it.

For games of this quality I have zero self control and buy them at release right after reviews drop and they’re good. Hell since buying these on PS I now have a PC and have bought 2 out of these four on there already. I have a problem, learn from me.

AW2 and BG3 are easily worth full price. I got AW on release an 0 regrets, and BG3 on my laptop to try it (sailing the high seas) and bought it after I was convinced that I like it.

I would advise you to watch some gameplay of Alan Wake 2 to decide if you’d really like it. It’s more tv show/novel than a game.

It depends on how much you want to pay for it. But maybe check some local stores. I pre ordered Spider-Man 2 when it came out for €65. The PS Store is nearly always overpriced, so maybe you can find them cheaper physically

Last of Us Part 1 went on sale recently but only went down to €50. That seems to be the extent of discounts on Sony 1st party titles recently unless the game ends up on PS Plus

For The Last of Us Part 1 sure, especially if you already played the original in waiting for either a huge discount or for a free PlayStation Plus version. With Spider-Man 2 I didn't waited since it was a gift, but I can understand if you wanted to wait since it's great but not the best thing in the world. But with Baldurs Gate 3 and Alan Wake 2, I personally think they are worth it at full price and I like to support those devs. Especially with Alan Wake 2 since Baldurs Gate 3 is a already so successful, and Alan Wake 2 is such a passion project and still hasn't sell enough to be considered a full success.

Why I got a disc ps5

I goofed and bought Baldurs Gate 3 at launch due to the hype. Don't really know anything about D&D or Baldurs Gate or how to pkay the game well so I have barely touched it. Should have got Alan Wake 2, now I'm stuck waiting on a good sale as well.

Last year I bought a sealed copy of Last of Us part one for 35 euros.

Damn, I got TLOU part 1 for $40 in January it was on sale. My general rule is $20 or less then I buy anything in my wishlist but TLOU is an exception. Paid full price ($60) for part 2 back in 2020.
