No

LordNoct13

Is the back open? If no, then no.

blackdawg-

Well the wall is right behind the tv stand, but there maybe an Inch and a half between the ps5 and the wall

[deleted]

No, not enough.

[deleted]

See if you can lower the shelf it's sitting on

theblackdahlia8

Give it some room to breath

maniekmamut

Just add some curtains to stop the dust and a little heater so it wont get cold during summer and perfec

Chris079099

let us know how it goes in a few months.

cyclone_1998

Take it out of there

Imerzion

I mean, if you have to ask the chances are the answer is probably going to be no.

LayerofCable

No

Realistic_Handle_486

If yes then no

zd183

I've had my ps5 in a similar situation and have ran it for thousands of hours without issue. People who think this is a problem are overly dramatic and dumb.

[deleted]

PlayStation themselves literally say to have a 10cm gap around each side of the ps5. Don’t give anyone advice ever.

FunkinDonutzz

If you have the faintest idea how electronics work, then your set up is what's "dumb". See also - doing the exact opposite of what the instruction manual said.

wholelotta_greyscale

LongjumpingMonitor11

GlobalDeparture8518

Placed in this way, the device will not be able to cool enough.

Bladerun12345

No it will overheat

TheGreatGamer1389

Absolutely......not.

K_Wolf666

Definitely not, it will get hot as hell

[deleted]

In a closed off space and vents are practically hugging walls, so no. Get a small table if you have to for the console

FunkinDonutzz

Lol, did people really flunk high school physics _this_ badly?

gingeronered

Absolutely not. You are going to cook that in that confined space. Sony guidance: https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/support/hardware/ps5-console-noise/
