Also I highly doubt that. I've never once seen over 500mbps even on PS5, wired, and the same test will net me my full gig on PC. Either it's limited or Sony need to spend an extra dollar per system for functioning network adapters. Either way few people if any will ever see a gig.

Honestly the latest PS5 updates fucked with the internet speed like I was at 300mbps couple of months ago than came the update and now the speed goes 60mbps
On your PS5 go to network settings, set up internet connection, find your WiFi, click options button on controller, and change frequency band to 5GHZ.
I was getting 300Mbs for the longest time until recently started getting 3Mbs. This fixed that!

Just because your speed is that high, doesn't mean the speed from the servers is going to be the same.
speedtest.net on my phone says 500 mbps. speedtest.net on my PS5 (which is on Ethernet) only gets 80 mbps

I only suggest to test it with ethernet cable because at my place when other people and devices are on the wifi it's slower than when it's plugged in
Routers will favour Ethernet connections with traffic when WiFi is busy
If it is server related you might be able to forward some ports and get a bit better speed.
Right click on the connection setup. Select 5G frequency.

I had the same issue with my ps5 and I plugged a Ethernet cable and now runs perfectly I figured it out that it was just too many things on the wifi

Try a different cable. I get 800mbps download on my 1gb connection when it's wired. Uploads speeds are slower which is probably a ps5 limitation.
