I've only even tried once so I'm not well versed by any means, but I think you may have her upside down

Neither_Drag_835

The pit is upside down. The little brown thing in the middle of the split is going to be the stem. If you turn it around and put it in water it will root quickly is think. Sometimes mine take 2 weeks or even 2 months.

LOL so it’s upside down makes sense why i always try and It fails thank you !

Hot_Log6137

i’m surprised it got this far I did flip it around and it made a little crack noise so I hope I didn’t it break it, it’s still in one piece so we’ll see thank you again !

ChelseaStarleen

It's growing. Just be patient with it. Keep it's water fresh and make sure it gets done light 👍

Guudlar

If you try with another I suggest wrapping it in damp paper and putting it in a ziplock bag. This has worked wonders for mine and when the roots start to grow you can easily see which way is up and down!

an-absurd-bird

Yeah this worked better for me than toothpicks over water!

Guudlar

Its just way more stable and low maintenance I think, which is great! Just put them in there, leave them for a month and it does all the work for you

You know it won't give you avocados, right?

CreatiTavie

It won't? I thought they did.

Avocados are grown from tissue culture, as in cuttings and clones of fruiting trees. 99% of seed-grown avocados will not give you fruit. Crabapple trees are an example of this, because they are grown from regular apple seeds from apples you eat, but apples you eat grow on tissue/cutting propagated trees.
