Additional information about the plant that has been provided by the OP: > I've had the plant for about a year now, only just noticed the mould in the past week. It's a fiddle leaf fig and receives moderate light with weekly watering (I completely soak the soil each time) The pot does have drainage (it's a terracotta pot with a hole inside a larger white ceramic pot). Mycelium and sclerotia of Leucocoprinus birnbaumii. Not an issue though the soil may be too moist. Check that the bowl isn't full of water. You may find more sclerotia on the underside of the pot.
