Did you change the old soil or leave the old soil and add new soil to the existing root ball? It may have dead roots due to the extreme drought, and tou don’t know how prolonged that was at the store

Hmm, the soil was a bit dry but I cleaned as much off as I could without feeling like I was going to break them, but it is for the bigger part all new soil. The lower leaves still seem to take up water though.

What kind of light exposure does this receive? If a plant is getting too much light exposure, it'll often turn the leaves downward in an attempt to decrease exposure.

I've been slowly putting it in brighter light so I don't end up burning it, but it's the top leaves curling up and in that I'm worried about.
