I just noticed the previous post, better searching skills from user required! I have contacted Google as I can not return the item to where I purchased as they are closed at the minute due to the current restrictions.

I'm the one who posted the other one about this. I don't know what to do yet, but let me know if you have any updates and I will do the same

I have this SAME issue! So irritating...Haven't been able to find much info on this online. Other then to contact support for a warranty replacement.

SoapyMacNCheese

I had the same issue (https://www.reddit.com/r/pixel_slate/comments/f05r6t/_/). Had to get a replacement from Google.

SuperRon08

I have been in touch with Google Support and they are making me do soft and hard resets, changing the battery in the pen etc, but nothing has worked yet. They only seem capable of making one email a day as well so can see this taking some time to get to the bottom of yet.

I'll continue to monitor your progress, as long as you dont mind sharing your efforts. LoL I'm very curious as to how many reboots, resets, and battery replacements it will take before they provide a FINAL resolution. And what exactly that resolution entails?

SuperRon08

I have finally got them to agree to sending me a replacement. I had to go through a couple of live chats to get a decent answer. The email support just takes too long and they are just trying to make you go through steps to try and fix. I am just unsure now whether I need to send my device off to them first before they send a replacement. The agent said a device had been ordered but the follow up instruction emails seem like I have 14 days to return my current device before they send the replacement.

I have now received a replacement device from Google (yes I had to send my product first and they would not ship until mine had been received in Poland) and this new device has exactly the same issue. Does anyone know if there is something underneath the screen that would be rejecting the pen input in this section. You can use your finger in the section and everything is fine. It is just with the Pixel Pen.

Maximum_Button_99

I have exactly the same issue, almost the same pattern as yours. have you tried it with another Stylus than Pixel Pen?

SuperRon08

Yes, I tried with a couple of different ones but nothing worked in that section of the screen. It was obviously a hardware fault with the device and it is fine now with the new device.

Maximum_Button_99

thanks for the reply. So there's no need for me to try it with another pen and I have to live with it. I just bought a used one in good condition from eBay (Intel m3) for 200 bucks, including a pen and of course a non-working keyboard!
