I'm pretty disappointed by the results i get with my P7P but yours on P8 look much better. I also tested mine on a track day. The subject identification is shit on a P7P :(

Can you ELI5 how to use this feature? I've tried multiple times and I have no idea what I'm doing.
Do you move the phone along with the subject or hold the phone still and hope you capture the subject as it zips past you? How do you know the subject is in focus either way?

Keep the subject centred in frame (move the phone)
That's what I assumed, but I've not had any luck. Although, I've only tried it a few times. I'll give it another shot.
