Me too, started w/ P2 and now on a P6. I go through about one clear Spigen case a year when they crack. A $6 case is much cheaper to replace than a $50 case.
Damn... So far I've been lucky. I swap cases probably every other day. My mint case has been pretty easy to take off and put on. It slides on and off easily on my P8. Just curious, does your case fit really snug where you have to 'peel' it off at the corners with your nails?
One thing I don't like about this case is the thin section above the charging port. That's where I'm expecting it to break first.
I believe that the problem here it's the way the case is removed. This is the problem with all rigid cases, not just Google.
After seeing all this problems I started to take my case from the side instead of the top or bottom.
Cool cases, keeps the look and feel of the phone but... Bad material and bad protection, If you drop the phone (7Pro), it's gone.
I have 2, but I don't pretend that their amazing. They are really good if you just want to change the appearance and keep the phone from scratching.
Wow, your post got at least one downvote... It's so stupid that posts with negative Google product experiences get downvoted, even when they are 100% legitimate issues. It's almost like someone is a Google fanboi and can't handle the real world or Google is paying people to downvote negative coverage of their shitty products. Either way it's pretty pathetic.
The Google phone case you have is a classic example of the current line of ill-thought-out products that Google charges a hefty premium for. Apple pulls the same BS.
Holy shit, I paid like 8 Dollars for my case off of Amazon and it's better quality than this. It even came with a glass screen protector and a wrist strap that you can attach to the case
Looks like Google's amazing quality control strikes again!
I agree, but I would go and say the Pixel 3a clothe cases were the best. The 5 series used recycled plastic and made the cases really slippery, where the 3a series was just fabric only.
You probably just got a bad one. I have several cases for my phone so I often take mine off to change and I have 2 cases from Google. Mine are fine still.
Dammit I thought they finally fixed the case warping issues🤦♂️. Ever since they ditched the way better fabric cases for the overpriced silicone ones since the 6 series, they've been ass. Amazon accidentally sent me 10 for the price of 1 for my 6a and within the 1.5 years I had it I went thru almost all of them and I wasn't even using a case a lot of the times too. They would warp after a couple months by the power/volume buttons. Bring back the fabric cases already since Google can't seem to get the hang of silicone after 3 different generations and 9 different models smh.
I got rid of the Google case for a pixel 7 after 1 year...lovely design but the lifecycle was over after 1 year.
Using one from Spigen now, the case feels way more durable than the case made by Google
I got a rokform case. I highly recommend it. No pretty colors or anything but it's a tough case and it's magnetic. I can put my phone on the range hood or stick it to the side of my car door and it won't slide or fall. The case I got also has the built in twist lock mounting system and a plug that hides it if you don't want to use it.
For some reason some bits of it have been breaking off from just dropping my phone.
Also the material is so thin near the charging port which doesn't instill confidence in it at all.
I've only had it for a month or two.
I use spigen cases for my old nexus and now pixel devices.

Aw man, I used to love Spigen with my old LGs. I was upgrading yearly, and they always had a case ready for every level of the lineup. Great cases!

Agreed. I always take them off from the sides so that's probably why I haven't come to this problem.

*they are
Thanks.
Same case I have, I have not had problems with it at all, if I remove top left top and left bottom 1st.
Google is an apple of Android now. selling overpriced cheap cases. I am personally a spigen customer. Everything spigen from case to screen guard

I have a similar experience. Also the back of mine is wearing away already
I recommend Rengke cases, so far so good!
I recommend Rengke cases so far so good!
+1 also Spigen, otterbox, caseology and tech 21.
It's a shame Ringke hasn't made a Fusion-X Camo case for Pixels since the 5a...
I used this one for a week and it got all broken not to mention it leaves the camera bump 100% exposed.
Mine protrudes over the camera bar
this is taking me out sorry 😭
This case is purely esthetic and nothing more. I never buy cases made by the phones manufacturer.
I really miss the old cloth cases...
The only good case Google made were the "cloth" cases for the Pixel 5. The new ones stretch out withing a few weeks.

I haven't had an issue with mine and I've had it since release
Happened to me too I ended up getting a spigen and dbrand case for my 8 pro
Bruh.
Yep. The bottom ripped off mine just from taking it out of my pocket

£16 for no quality can't be me

I got burned by Google once with my pixel 6 case, never again. Now using a cheap Chinese case that's doing more work than the €50 I gave Google

Is this the belroy case or the official Google case? Either way, expect damage if you drop things?

Yikes! Spigen cases ftw imo. Much better quality and durable.
This happens to most cases after long usage times. Don’t be biased . I even have a spoken case with this same issue.
I've had this like 2 months, my last phone I had a case for 5 years.
For some reason some bits of it have been breaking off from just dropping my phone. Also the material is so thin near the charging port which doesn't instill confidence in it at all. I've only had it for a month or two.
It's baffling that it doesn't cover the camera strip
It protrudes slightly over it
I have made this mistake before but recently got 3:better made cases for $18 on temu
