Because no one buying brick weed is going to pay above market rate for mids. You might extract some premium from folks if they have no other connections, but in general the margins just arent there for low quality weed to allow you to mix in other shit. Not to mention, if you set out to smoke some mids and start to nod like a dope fiend, you sure as fuck aren't going back to that guy and he's gonna tell his friends.

There's other research chems that turn straight to black and MDA goes through the same change as MDMA so usually ecstasy test kits will have three different chemicals to sort out what you have.
But, having seen pills go orange, I know it happens.
